At the trailhead, your experience begins with a slow climb up a very narrow rock. You will be shocked as our experienced driver and tricked out Jeep maneuvers through steep and rocky obstacles. On the way, we will stop so you can see some dinosaur footprints in Moab’s iconic red rock! A few steeper climbs up and down will end at the very famous overlook, where you can view the backside of Arches National Park and the Colorado River. It’s a view you will never forget! After the overlook, we make our way back the way we came. This off-road experience offers adventure and scenery! Our professional driver is there to make the experience exciting, safe, and unforgettable!

Brenden was our private guide/driver.
There were 3 of us in his specially outfitted jeep. We did the 8am trip, which I highly recommend. Had terrain almost exclusively to ourselves as most others start at 9am.
The experience was utterly fantastic.
Incredible views and scenery. Obstacles we crossed that I wouldn't have believed had I not been there. He was personal and informative. My white knuckeled wife actually felt safe. Turns out he spent 5 years competing in off-road competitions. All in all, it was a great experience. I personally like that he is a smaller, less corporate business. 5 stars without hesitation.

This was easily the most beautiful, and entertaining tour I’ve been on. Jason is delightful and eased my nerves as we traversed through the canyon lands. This was truly a once in a life time experience, and we are so grateful for the memories. We can’t wait to come back and book another tour with Portal Off Road Tours.

Jason was an amazing tour guide! We've been fortunate enough to take several other off road trips in Moab, and this ranked at the top. Jason's driving skill really inspired confidence. Our 9 y/o grandson can't stop talking about it and wants to go back next summer. We would encourage visitors to Moab to definitely book Portal Off-Road.

Family's first time in Moab and first time doing anything like this. Of our 9 day multi-national park trip this is still everyone's favorite part, including the kids. Jason was a fantastic guide, his confidence and knowledge made the family comfortable even on the more exciting obstacles. If you're in the area for a short time this tour is the one to do.

That first climb was insane!!! It was a blast and Brenden had such a great personality that he kept you entertained ! I was amazed at how the jeeps climbed those rocks !! I cannot say enough how worth it was to do this sunset tour!!

Booked a private tour for 2 with this small operation and couldn't be happier. The booking was simple, communication excellent and worth every penny. Jason was amazing. He greeted us warmly, offered us a cold bottle of water and asked question to gauge our appetite for adventure.
Once underway his personality, knowledge and skill made the trip incredibly enjoyable. He handled the driving and hill climbs as if we were on paved roads. We were treated to amazing views, great conversation and even some education about the local flora and dinosaur prints. Portal is a small operation but big on delivering an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

First timers (closet thrill seekers) we didnt know what to expect...I just knew that we needed a true Moab experience. Brendan and Jason were super easy to work with and Jason was a fantastic guide. Experienced, confident, full of knowledge about the jeep, the area, ecosystem, and people of Moab. Jason's confidence made us feel safe to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones and we couldnt be happier with our experience. We walked away with amazing pictures, fantastic memories, and even enough knowledge to go buy my own jeep someday!! Thanks for a first rate experience!
