Halie was amazing. She is all about safety and having a great time. Definitely going to use her when we come back to Puerto Rico.

This was a mixed bag. I booked the tour with Adventure Mermaid as it had good reviews and was a three hour experience, leading me to think there would be a longer period of scuba diving than with other tours.
Halie seemed nice, but said she had a cold, and so she had a substitute called Terrence lead our tour, which ended up being sub-optimal. Terrence spent the majority of his time giving us an obnoxious lecture about how global warming was threatening the earth and capitalism was threatening humanity and we needed to adopt eastern philosophy and a collective way of life. Maybe, maybe not, but this wasn't what we signed up for, which was a scuba experience, not a left-wing lecture.
At any rate, the scuba dive itself was cool, but it only lasts about half an hour, and the whole thing was two hours long, so I'm not sure this is any different than a different tour outfit.

Hailie is wonderful, kinda the best instructor you could ask for especially if you are a beginner and anxious or hesitant to try scuba diving!

We had a great Discover SCUBA Dive experience with Halie and Adventure Mermaid. My wife and I had scuba dived before 10+ year ago, but it was the first time for our teenaged kids. Halie was very patient and 100% focused on making sure everyone was safe and feeling comfortable, which I really appreciated. She led our family around the lagoon, constantly checking-in to make sure we were all ok. We saw several types of fish and two turtles up close.
If you tend to get cold, I would recommend contacting Halie before your dive to figure out how to rent a wetsuit. I wish that I had had one.

What a great introduction to scuba! The beauty of the ocean cannot be accurately described in words. I was surrounded by several types of tropical fish and saw a sea turtle along the way. None of this would be possible without Luna! She was extremely knowledgeable, explained the equipment thoroughly, and demonstrated safety skills with precision. Just as importantly, Luna was beyond patient when I initially had difficulty acclimating myself to breathing underwater. I highly recommend this experience!

Incredible experience! Halie was very knowledgeable and cared most about our safety. She was super nice and fun to be around. You can tell she cares a lot about her clients. She made sure we were ok under water literally at every moment of the entire dive. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time! Our favorite part of our Puerto Rico trip!!
This was a great experience since my husband and I had been toying with the idea of getting our scuba certification, but we had never ACTUALLY tried to scuba. It ended up being myself, my husband, and his friend going out, so the small group was really enjoyable. Halie was an absolute pleasure to go with. She was super attentive and stayed with us at all times to make sure we enjoyed the everything safely! We even saw a turtle!!
If you’ve being considering getting your scuba certification, this is a great “get your toes wet” option since finding a scuba experience that requires no previous experience is extremely hard to come by.

Halie made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. This was especially important since none of us had ever been SCUBA diving.
The trip was already exceeding our expectations, and then we saw a sea turtle which was the perfect way to cap it off!
If you’re in San Juan or the surrounding area, give Adventure Mermaid a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Hands down, one of the best experiences of my life! Both Halie and Luna are knowledgeable and great instructors! I was impressed at the amount of detail that was given to me and my son to ensure a great experience! Do yourself a favor. Check Adventure Mermaid out. You will not be disappointed!

Haven't been in much deep water before this, but definitely a fun experience. Seeing the turtles, crabs, fishes, coral up close was amazing. Halie walked me through the process so easily. Would, without a doubt, do this again!
