Excellent background information on the history of Vienna. Jan was very knowledgeable and informative. His 3 hour tour was one of the best tours we have taken. He answered all of our questions and was able to tell a very good historical story of Vienna.

Jan was an amazing guide for our time in Vienna in that he knows the best routes to navigate the city making sure our time was well spent . He’s a wealth of knowledge and information about all things Vienna . He kept all four of us engaged the whole time … highly recommend !

We had the best time on our tour with Jan! He is a wealth of knowledge on the city and it's history. You can tell right away that Jan loves what he does and was really engaging while sharing all his knowledge. We ended the tour at the an amazing coffee shop which was delicious. Jan also provided us with so many recommendations so enhance the rest of our stay in Vienna. We would 100% recommend this tour!!

Jan is an incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic tour guide, with a clear passion for Vienna's eclectic history which he's able to make so contagious through vibrant story telling and interesting, often hilarious, facts, that we were actually interrupted mid tour by a documentary team asking if they could record his speech about one of the monuments he was explaining. Being very professional, he initially declined to break from his tour but I insisted he give a brief interview so that viewers of the documentary could enjoy his engaging speaking style and expertise too. His tour was really nuanced and tailored to the individual, offering an array of recommendations on where best to eat in the city and hidden gems, from the special backstreet cafe that serves coffee in cones through a window, to funny 'treasure hunts' for certain secrets of St Stephen's cathedral. He even provided a break in the tour to sample some culinary delights at one of the locals' preferred haunts for strudel and cake. The most special part of the tour for my family was the fact that we visited Vienna to celebrate the birthday of my late father, who was always intrigued by the history of the city; with this in mind, Jan kindly included facts he thought my dad would have liked to know after learning about him, and even made a beautiful suggestion of sponsoring a rose in memory of him at the Volkesgarten, a possibility I would never have known about without Jan's insight. I hope to visit again sometime and feel like I've left Vienna with a much deeper appreciation for the city, and with a new friend too.

Worth it! jan was a great tour guide. Knowledgeable on many subjects and easy to talk to. We have four teenage daughters and they were engaged the entire time! Highly recommend !

Excellent walking tour to know the details of Vienna’s history. Jan is a knowledgeable tour guide that provides significant amount of information and tailored the tour based on specific request from the family. He kept everyone engaged throughout the tour and provided many bits of information that we would not get from a large tour. Highly recommend this experience to get to know Vienna.

Terrific tour! Jan is personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. He met us at our hotel and began giving us an overview from the start. He put Vienna’s culture, food and architecture in historical context. His background as an art historian was especially helpful as was his ‘magical’ bag of photos, maps and cards he used to illustrate and educate. He was also flexible and included sites of our particular interest. I highly recommend!
