Our SF in a Day tour will take you places that no other San Francisco tour does, traversing the city by cable-car, rail & bus to visit enchanted gardens, secret stairs & glorious rooftop vistas, creating an unforgettable experience. You’ll avoid crowds at the tourist hot-spots, while experiencing the culture of SF & learning its history.

We’ll start your tour near the Embarcadero & take the cable-car up to Nob Hill. From there we go to City Hall (or Cable Car Museum) &, after going inside, we can grab a coffee in Hayes Valley.

After that we head to the Castro, then walk through Dolores Park. We finish the morning part of the tour in the Haight, it's a great place to get some lunch.

After that we take you to see an icon of San Francisco, the Painted Ladies. That's followed by a walk down another SF icon, Lombard Street. We finish the tour with a walk through North Beach & Chinatown. By then you’ll have had a fantastic experience of SF & made some beautiful memories to take home.

“Dee” was very friendly and informative. We saw everything we set out to see. We had a group of 4 the first half of tour and second half was personalized with just our group of 3. We learned how to navigate the mini system so that we could do it ourselves the rest of the trip. The start spot was easy to find and right at the embarcko stop of bart. There is a fair amount of walking which is to be expected. But it’s very doable. You do sometimes wait for public transport a few minutes which is to be expected. We especially enjoyed “gay berhood” and painted ladies and Lombard street. Plenty of opportunity for a bathroom break. You get an hour lunch at hair bury. Highly recommend street tacos. Great service. Would totally recommend.

Jason was very informative. He had 6 people to walk with him. The first hour was fine, then there weren't any breaks like it said on the paperwork. We were to have a 20 minute break. We didn't. I repletely told him I needed a drink. Finally, he stops at a corner store and waited 5 minutes for us to get 3 drinks. Then we hurried off again. We had to stop in the middle of our tour and call a taxi to bring us back to the hotel.
In the LGBQ community Jason pointed out a window above our heads that was decorated with naked Ken dolls with their private parts enhanced on displayed. If Jason would not have pointed that out, we would have never seen it. As it was, we missed the painted ladies' houses, and the crocked street on the tour. I would not have gone on this trip if I would have known how much walking there was. The tour said Cable Car and on foot. Not on foot and a small amount on cable car. And a full day form 10 am till 6 pm. That wasn't information given until Jason told that after an hour or so. I was very dis

Dara was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the city she loves and grew up in. We walked to different neighborhoods in San Francisco and she spent time telling us about each one.

Was a great full day. Saw so much of the city that I feel I got a good sense of the main districts. Jason was fabulous on history and quirky facts. Highly recommend.

My 13-year-old son & I loved this tour. Jamie was a terrific guide, very entertaining, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I can’t believe how much of the city we saw and yet we miraculously almost never walked uphill. We loved riding 3 different forms of transit. When we told my cousin, an 80something SF native, she said it was the best tour she’d ever heard of & we agree!

Mark was a wealth of San Francisco knowledge. Very considerate in getting us on and off the various modes of transportation. I'm sure he showed us many things that wouldn't be pointed out on other tours. Would recommend this tour if you're up for an adventure with a considerable amount of walking.

An excellent way to see a large area of San Francisco in a short time. The use of cable cars, street cars and buses meant that a good number of sights could be visited. Dara and Jamie were excellent hosts and we all had a very enjoyable time. It is only when you have been to so many areas in the day that you realise how big the city is. One area that isn’t covered is the Fisherman’s Wharf area but this is best done at leisure rather than as part of this one day tour. There is plenty of walking but little is uphill.

Oh my goodness my head is still spinning from what I have seen and learned today. I grew up in Berkeley many years ago and thought I knew alot about San Francisco. Today, with Mark, I realized I knew nothing. Mark led seven of us for 8 hours today and we toured so many neighborhoods in the city. This man has lived and breathed San Francisco for more than 40 years. He's a San Francisco encyclopedia. We got far more than we paid for and I can't recommend this tour highly enough. This tour is not cheap, but it is a bargain! Don't miss it!

We (four) were holidaying in the city so it was nice to get beyond the city limits.
The tour - whilst I would have preferred a guide to let the driver concentrate on his main job, went well enough.
The three wineries all had many and completely different attitudes in explaining their product and business, which adds to the experience rather than detracting.
Had a nice lunch stop in the sleepy town of Somona, which again added to the whole experience.
