I don't have enough space in this review box to describe how great our day with our tour guide JC was. My wife and I came to Cozumel for our honeymoon and decided to book this tour as one of our first activities. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that this was a private tour for just the two of us. Our tour guide JC was nothing short of fantastic, he was so kind and knowledgeable about all the different aspects of the island and it's history and culture; you can really tell that he cares deeply about Cozumel and it's people. He took us all around the island away from the beaten path, and went out of his way to show us some spots that he thought we'd be interested in. He answered all of our (many) questions with grace and patience and I can't thank him enough for giving us a great introduction to this beautiful place. Give this man a raise!

Juan Carlos (JC) was more than prompt, courteous and professional. The tour was a private one, in a vehicle so were were able to change certain things about the tour we didnt want to see or stay longer than normal at places we did want to stay.
We were returned to the ship with plenty of time and we felt safe at all times. The beach had a nice restaurant to eat at. Had good times

Best time we’ve had in Cozumel. Traveled with a 6 year old and my 2 72 year old parents. Very comfortable trip to the ruins. Well worth the time and money compared to other excursions from cruise ships.

This tour was exactly what we were looking for. I spent weeks researching available tours on the island that would give us an overall idea of life and history on cozumel and this tour was perfect. Our guide, Juan Carlos, arrived on time, and was sure to make our trip around the island educational and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide, JC being an island native whose family has lived here for generations. We had good conversations and each and every one of our stops were fun, and didn't feel rushed. Since it was just two of us, the San Gervasio tour with our park guide Jorge felt very special and he took great photos of us. We would definitely like to return to the island and share this tour with friends in the future.

We just returned from a trip where we did a tour with Juan Carlos at Leon Tours, and it was fantastic! We met him after debarking from our cruise ship, and he was ready and waiting with water and cool drinks for what turned out to be a fascinating tour of the island. Due to our time constraints, he customized the tour to include historical and cultural highlights as well as some beach time. We saw a site dedicated to Ixchel, a church commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Spaniards’ arrival, the monument to the mestizos, and El Cedral—a fascinating spot where a Mayan ruin and a church stand side by side. Juan Carlos showed us videos of his families and others in his community celebrating their annual festival there and provided the overall big picture regarding the culture and history of Cozumel. His family has lived on Cozumel for four generations, and he was full of insight. He also pointed out interesting features of geography as we circled the island and then took us to a beautiful, uncrowded spot to enjoy some time in the water. We couldn’t have had a better tour!

The Ruins tour was interesting. Dennis our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. We learned a few Mayan phrases and so much about the culture. Highly recommend him.

Our guide Petrus was very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture. He was very accommodating to our wants and needs. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a great experience in Cozemel!

JC was great! He was very knowledgeable, and took us to interesting spots. We went through both the touristy areas and off the beaten path. The ruins were the highlight, but the whole tour is the perfect five hour excursion if you are coming off a cruise ship for one day.
My only advice would be for the tour company to pick an shop next to the 7-eleven, because that location has many other people trying to sell you other tours.
