This was a really special day! After an action packed previous day where we walked over 7 miles this was the perfect day to enjoy Mexican culture floating the beautiful canals in the horticulture epicenter of Mexico City. Our tour was made more incredible by our amazing tour guide and driver who shared the rich history of the area providing recommendations and explanations of the food and drinks that were offered by the boat vendors who would pull up to sell their wares and cuisine. All while we listened to mariachi bands in boats and watched people celebrating and enjoying life.

This trip was made so much easier by pick up and drop off at hotel. Great communication with our driver and tour guide. I highly recommend this company.

I recommend if you are looking for peaceful less crowded experience go in the morning. If you want a lively party scene with more food and vendors go in the afternoon. Bring smaller bills as well for buying from vendors. If you want a rest day, but also don't want to waste a day in Mexico City I highly suggest slipping this tour to sit rest your feet, eat, drink and soak in the joy of life and local culture.

A lovely 2 hour boat ride. It also took an hour driving each way to get there. The boats were packed tight. Trying to navigate through the canals was fun. I am glad we went early before all the other tourists arrived. It was a great tour.

Our tour guide Gabriel did an excellent job of explaining the history of Xochimilco and the valley of Mexico to our kids. He was very engaging! We had an issue with our pickup because the driver had an incorrect address for the Maria Isabel Sheraton which delayed our tour time. However, the tour time was not shortened because of this. It would be advised that pickup details be confirmed before tour time in the future.

Probably one of the best tours we've taken! The most friendly tour guides (we had the privilege of having three guides in this one tour). Highly recommend Xochimilco if you are in Mexico City.

The driver was fabulous. The guide was good and funny but left early. Learning about the history was amazing and highly recommended.
I wish I had know that there were vendors to buy food, drinks, etc... more info on the trip would be appreciated.

We were fortunate to visit CDMX during the week and enjoyed a lovely time on the water. It was just the two of us and so peaceful. We had excellent tacos and cold beer included and after the crazy city traffic it was a delightful change of pace. I believe this experience can be as lively as the group you are with and understand it can be quite a party. Fun to pass boats with complete mariachi bands ready to entertain.

We had a great adventure with Jorge at Xochimilco! We booked a tour for 9 that included hotel pickup at 9am. Everyone arrived promptly (2 cars) and we got on our way. During the drive, we chatted about what we had done in CDMX thus far and how we were enjoying ourselves.

The boat itself and the canals were amazing! We watched in awe as Carlos navigated the boat around all of the other boats. Jorge made sure to check with us to gauge what kind of experience we were looking for (lots of talking or more casual sightseeing) and got down to the important stuff - food and drinks. He brought beers with him, and we got some margaritas from a passing by vendor.

Next we decided on food, and watched in amazement as mushroom and squash blossom tacos were made on a teeny tiny flat top on a boat that pulled up next to us.

We loved hearing about the history of the canals, but also loved just chatting with Jorge about Mexico and all the places he's lived.

We wrapped up the tour with a stop to see some reptiles and learn about axilotl. Great few hours, amazing way to get out of the city and eat some lovely food.

Highly recommend!!!
