Join us on a journey to explore the ancient city and sanctuary of Dion, where God Zeus, was worshipped by his devoted followers. Among them was Alexander the Great, who offered sacrifices to Zeus before his legendary conquests. In the archaeological site of Dion, you will see a temple dedicated to Zeus, as well as other temples for Demeter and Isis, the goddesses of agriculture and magic respectively. You will also admire the exquisite mosaic floors, the ancient baths, and the ruins of the city. Our guide will take you to the Dion Museum, where you will see the discoveries that were unearthed from the site. You will hear the myths & stories about the life of the people in ancient Dion. Our tour continues to the traditional village of Old Panteleimon, which dates back to the 14th century and was deserted after the end of World War II. There, you will have the opportunity to wander around and discover the picturesque stone-paved streets, the cozy houses, the hidden taverns and cafes.
