If you are looking to see all the amazing sights and attractions of Rio de Janeiro, but don’t know where to start, do yourself a favor and call Daniel!
He will customize your tour of Rio to the type of day you desire, whether it be relaxed, adventurous, or history-filled. On our 7 hour tour, Daniel took us around the entire city, stopping at the “great madness” steps, the main cathedral, the downtown city center, to a panoramic viewpoint in Santa Teresa, through the Tijuca forest to a gorgeous waterfall, and more. We stopped at a local brewery for a delicious lunch of feijoada. Daniel kept our tour at a good pace and answered every single question we had- he’s truly an encyclopedia of knowledge and knows how to navigate the city like the back of his hand. At the end of the tour we had seen almost the entire city and there’s no way we could have done that without Daniel. On top of that he is super friendly, funny and entertaining. He left us with wonderful recommendations for what to do for the rest of our vacation. We feel like we made a friend in Brazil! Thank you Daniel!

Our family of four did a one day private tour with Daniel. We found him through word of mouth from a friend. It was a wonderful day. Daniel showed us the sights that we wanted to see and was very knowledgeable on the places in terms of history and interesting stories. No rushing or bringing us to merchant stores. We felt we were touring the city with a friend. And most importantly Daniel is a great photographer. He took so many great pictures for our family. He certainly made our vacation a very memorable one. We highly recommend Daniel.

Being a returning traveller to Rio I hadn’t expect too much from the day tour I had taken before with other agencies. But boy was I wrong. Daniel is the most excellent tour guide I have ever experienced in all of Brazil! He managed to not only entertain 4 of us German girls with an intense and diverse all day program, but also recommend and adapt our schedule to our personal interests and daily weather and transport situation, to ensure we would get the most out of it. I always wondered if it is worth to pay for a guide if you can just take an Uber - but let me tell you, it is so worth it to go with Daniel! He enlighten the visited areas with in depth background and history knowledge, concluding with up to date information on the Brazilian state and way of life. We visited so many spots, from the standards such as Cristo and Lapa stairs, to a unique church, a brilliant lunch spot with a fantastic view from Santa Teresa, the TijucaNationalpark jungle madness, São Contado viewpoints and beaches…it was such a remarkable day. After we finished Daniel even ensured to send us further information and recommendations on restaurants and places to visit ourselves safely. He also offered any support shall we need it.
Also, he is fluent in English and well travelled, so he deeply understands travellers needs. He took pictures of us all day and send them afterwards!
Daniel is a brilliant, very kind, funny and caring human being and we absolutely recommend taking his tour and following his ideas and pleasant way of treating his customers ❤️

Daniel is a dedicated, skilled and entertaining guide. He took great care of us on two separate day trips out, from Christ and Sugarloaf Mountain to Santa Teresa, Ipanema, Leblon, Copacabana and the Historic Centre. We packed so much into those two days but Daniel made it all so smooth that we felt that the pace was relaxed and easy. Thankfully, he managed to avoid any queues, and we always found time to have a light lunch or a coffee with delicious sweets in between. Nothing was too much trouble for Daniel. He accommodated any changes we asked for, and guided us to additional unexpected stops that added interest and fun to our tours. We cannot recommend Daniel highly enough!

In the afternoon we joined a street carnival which was real fun. On the following day we went to Sugarloaf Mountain. In the evening Daniel took us to the Sambodrome – we used subway and due to heavy traffic a car would be a bad choice. We used his car while moving around the city which was very convenient. The day before the departure he showed us around the Old Town and Saint Teresa neighbourhood. On last day of out trip he drove us back to the airport. We enjoyed the time with Daniel very much. He is an excellent guide, knows a lot about Rio and speaks excellent English and Spanish. We made friends with him. When come to Rio again we will definitely ask Daniel to be our guide one more time.

The 9 hour tour with Daniel was amazing !
We got picked up with his personal car (great driving !!!) and started the journey very early in the morning.
First stop was Jesus The Redemeer statue, got up with the 1st scheduled train. Many stories and a lot of history explained during the complete visit (perfect english language).
After a photoshoot from top of the city, we continue our trip to the South side of Rio, on the beach coast (Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana beaches).
Sugar Loaf mountain was the cherry on top of the cake, with the complete cable car ride and outstanding views, including airport plane landings, which are breathtaking !
Thank you Daniel for the amazing experience !

Daniel Pedroza is a tour Guide as good as it gets. Visiting from Miami; arrived in a Cruise and stayed 4 days. We are experienced travelers (Lifetime Platinum elite at both; American Airlines and at Marriott), still we hired Daniel for a customized tour exploring Bossa Nova, Samba as well as the Beaches, the Forest and the Carioca gastronomy of RJ (including rating Caipirinha’s). Make sure to go to paradise on earth at Prainha and have lunch at Mirante da Prainha… He was very versatile, punctual, accommodating and a pleasure to work with before and also during the trip. His hourly rates are very reasonable. Daniel is a True Carioca that went to High School in the USA and is a great cultural bridge. Awesome enjoyable experience. We will be back!
