Had a great time riding around and getting off in different neighborhoods. We had done a bike tour the day before, so this gave us the opportunity to spend more time in certain areas.

BEWARE!!!! They say they offer a free refund. We canceled this tour two hours after booking and never started the tour. They have refused to refund our $80.40. I have written several emails and spoke with a representative to no avail. Book your hop on hop off elsewhere!!

Unlike other cities this Hop On/Hop Off is not really worth it. Not too many sights on the route, and a third of the route is cruise ship stops.
Better to walk and find a better way to get to the museums at Bygdoy.
Only picture to post is the shin bruise I received on the stairs trying to get up to a seat when the driver did not one but two rabbit starts pulling away from the stop.

Experience in other cities with City Sightseeing have been positive. Oslo was a disappointment. Long wait for first bus while two competitor’s Hop On Hop Off buses loaded and left. Audio was poor quality and hard to understand. Content was not especially interesting or pertinent. Got off at the Sculpture Park, next bus audio was not functional at all. No warning or apology from the driver. No announcement of stops. We got off at the Fortress and finished our tour on foot.

The instructions for where the start of the tour begins was not clear. If you were to follow the address, it leads to a hotel beside central station. Actual start of tour is beside the national theater at Karl Johans gate which is a walk from central station. Otherwise it is a good way to get your bearings…
