Lina and Alex were amazing hosts! They thought my friend and I the ins and outs of brewing the perfect cup of coffee. We learned how coffee grows, how to dry and select beans, and 3 different ways to brew coffee. Lina gave us homemade caramel cookies to enjoy with our coffee, and Alex helped us get a taxi after dark. They are wonderful people who believe in themselves, their vision, their family traditions, and Colombian coffee. This is definitely a wonderful hands-on activity to fill an afternoon before heading to dinner. A coffee lover’s must-do in Medellin! Be sure to buy bags of their Avoeden Coffee from their farm to take back as souvenirs. I wish I had purchased more—it was a hit with friends and family!
