This was such a great experience and one of the highlights of my trip! Jennifer was an amazing guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and landscape. I learned so much from her. The hike was moderate with breathtaking views! Would definitely recommend booking with this company.

We hiked for alittle over 2 hours and 30 minutes with multiple stops to make sure we were okay to trek on. Jay was a great guide helping us the entire way, making sure we had water, snacks, electrolytes, mist bottles, hiking poles, and more when we needed. He was an all around great guy walking at our pace and making sure we were all okay at all times. Highly suggest if you are looking for a good hike, request Jay if you get the chance!

Jay was an amazing guide and catered to the needs of our group. He was knowledgeable of the Az terrain. Jay went at our pace. We saw a breathtaking sunset which made it worth the trip.

I had sundown hiking tour. It was an amazing 2 hour hiking trip. Liz is a wonderful tour guide. She is knowledgable and cares about guests. I will definitely go tours with them again next time in Phoenix.

Cooper was my guide through the Sonora desert for a sunset hike. Here on a business trip, I really only had one day to make the most of sightseeing in the Phoenix area. I’m really glad I chose this tour. Cooper was extremely knowledgeable about the area, its history, and every type of plant we passed, and every type of animal we did, or possibly could have come across. Luckily, we saw way more plants than critters! If you are in decent physical shape, the hike will get you a little bit winded, but it is 100% doable. Don’t be afraid to try it. We made small stops along the way to look at specific plants, or just take in the amazing views. 360° panoramic views of the Sonora dessert and surroundings were breathtaking. I think I said “wow” like a million times. Booking the trip was easy, and communication before hand gave me all the information I need to know to plan for the hike. My trip ended up being a small group, and by small, it was just me, but I felt extremely comfortable and safe the entire time, and Cooper made it a really enjoyable experience.

We had such a great hike with Cooper. He had a lot of knowledge about plant and animal life in the area. He brought water, snacks, sunscreen. The hike itself was not too tough, yet not too easy. And, of course the sunset was beautiful.

Wonderful hike with Jay for us amateur out of towners! I researched a lot of Phoenix area hikes and this was the right one! Perfect if you want a shorter hike with views of the city and nature. Jay was so knowledgeable of history and plants, we loved learning all about it! He brought water, snacks, poles, and head lamps, added some Liquid IV to my water when I got lightheaded. Made sure we were safe on the hike and waiting for our Uber after. Jay is also an expert photographer, he captured lots of great pics of us. We accidentally left our water bottles in his pack and Jay went above and beyond to get them back to us. We’d love to go on another hike with Mad Desert Trekking next time we’re here.
