In this tour, you will discover some of the country's most famous waterfalls such as Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi, and the impressive Skógafoss.

Another highlight is Reynisfjara, an endless black sand beach where you will get to see cliffs made of basalt columns making you feel on another planet.

In this tour, you will have the very special opportunity to hike a massive glacier with the proper material and a knowledgeable guide to assist you and keep you safe while giving you all the insights and tips you should know about Iceland and maybe even drinking the purest water in the world straight from the glacier!

Please dress according to the weather. Good hiking boots are required for the glacier hike (minimum size EU 36 / US 5,5 / UK 3,5). Hiking boots are not included in the tour.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Skogafoss
Our first stop is Skogafoss Waterfall. It is one of the most iconic waterfalls in the country and was even featured in Game of Thrones. His 60m drop will keep you speechless for sure. Your guide will tell you all about the hidden treasure chest behind the waterfall and with some luck, you will be the first one to find it.
2. Solheimajokull Glacier
Now it's time for the highlight of the tour. Besides waterfalls, Iceland is also known for glaciers. 11% of the country is covered by ice. Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier coming down the fourth biggest glacier of Iceland, called Mýrdalsjökull. We put on our safety gear and start our hike on the glacier. The hike is approximately 2,5h long with 1,5h spend on the glacier. Please note that good hiking boots are mandatory for the glacier hike. We will provide you with all the necessary gear (excluding boots) but full mobility is required in order to have a safe trip on the glacier. All our guides have a lot of experience with glacier hikes and they will make a final decision whether you are able to participate or not when we arrive at the glacier. Please remember that if a guide refuses to let you go on the glacier, the decision is made with your safety in mind.
3. Reynisfjara Beach
Now it's time to hit the road again. After a short ride, we stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach. The beach was once rated as one of the 10 most beautiful places in the world and as soon as you put a foot on the beach, you will know why. Basalt columns and the well known Reynisdrangar rock formations await you. Your guide will tell you all the interesting stories and sagas that are connected to this place.
4. Seljalandsfoss
Heading back in the direction of Reykjavik, our last stop will be the ever-popular Seljalandsfoss waterfall. The waterfall lays underneath the well known Eyfjallajokull, the volcano that erupted in 2010. If conditions allow, we take a walk behind the waterfall’s curtain before paying a visit to its nearby cousin Gljúfrabúi, found hidden from view in the mountainside.
5. Gljufrabui Waterfalls
Gljúfrabúi (or Canyon Dweller) is a beautiful waterfall located at Hamragarðar in South Iceland, close to its better-known counterpart, Seljalandsfoss waterfall. It is one of the hidden gems of the South Coast, and thus an excellent spot for photographers and those seeking to admire nature in peace.

Exceptional day! I enjoyed our small group experience and our tour guide, Christopher was exceptional. He kept us well informed and shared his in depth knowledge of Iceland with us throughout the tour. The sites were amazing!

We had the best guide, Christopher, and I highly recommend this trip! Christopher was very informative, and clear in his explanations. Christopher also prioritized safety and I always felt confident in his decision and ability to lead us. Plus he had a sense of humor. The sights were spectacular on this tour and I would do it again next time.

We did the south coast tour with Fanny as our tour guide. The waterfalls are beautiful, as is the black sand beach. It was an amazing experience to put on crampons and hike on top of a glacier. Fanny (I hope I'm spelling your name correctly) was an excellent guide.

This tour was amazing in every way and worth every penny! We were originally scheduled for Wednesday, but they moved it to Friday due to the rain and thankfully, we ended up with perfect weather the morning of our glacier hike. It was a once in a lifetime experience hiking on the glacier, made even more memorable by our wonderful guide, Michal. He provided us with a real education about the glacier and everything Iceland. He made sure we were all safe during the hike, and took lots of breaks for the group to take pictures and rest so that even folks of only moderate fitness could participate. He also provided recommendations for restaurants and other activities to do in Reykjavik.

We chose those company because it was rated 5 stars, but that was not our experience. The bus picked us up 30 minutes late due to mechanical issues. We had to wait on other passengers throughout the entire day who were not following time restrictions. After already a 10 hour day we get down from the Glacier hike (which was the best part) the van would not start and we were stranded for 2 hours. What was supposed to be a 13 hour day turned into 15/16 hours. It totally ruined our last night in Iceland.

We experienced an amazing glacier hike, walk behind the waterfall and up to another awesome waterfall, plus walking on the black sand beach. Roberto shared lots of history about Iceland, the areas we passed through and visited. I highly recommend this company and your guide when you come to Iceland!!

Loved going on the tour and getting to see some awesome places around the South Coast! The glacier hike was super fun and we all got to drink some water straight from the glacier if we wanted to, and the view was amazing! Huge shoutout to our tour guide Roberto too, because he knew a lot about the different places we went to and it was obvious he loved the country. Definitely recommend going on this tour, completely worth it!

Christopher told a lot of fun facts while driving in a funny way that even made driving fun. Super fun stops, but the glacier hike was really the highlight! Would recommend to anyone to book, definitely worth your money.
