Visit a reindeer camp outside of Tromsø on this 4 hour tour that introduces you to a little Sami culture. You'll have a chance to feed a herd of 300 reindeer, take a 15-minute reindeer sled ride, and then gather inside a Sami tent for a hot meal and to hear stories about Sami culture around the campfire. A guide also performs a joik, traditional Sami folk song.

Really lovely experience. Unfortunately it was very icy due to the recent weather, so the reindeer sledding was cancelled, for the safety of both the reindeer and ourselves, however we have been paid a partial refund for this. It was lovely feeding the reindeer, if a bit intimidating at times! We were quite relieved to learn that they cannot bite! You do have to be careful of the antlers though and for the odd reindeer raising its hoof to you if it wants feeding. The experience in the Sami tent and learning about the Sami traditions was lovely. The reindeer stew was absolutely delicious and extremely tender. They also had a vegetarian option available too.

Very well organized tour. We were assembled at the pickup point and driven to the reindeer farm. The group was then split in 2. The first group went sledding first while the other did reindeer feeding and then we swapped. The reindeer were very friendly and well kept. The huts were great for warming up and having some delicious soup and listen to Sami stories

Feeding the reindeer and talking with the head wrangler. The stew was tasty and the story and background of the Simis was outstanding.

This was a fun experience. The sleigh ride was canceled due to icy conditions, but it didn't matter because the most fun was feeding the reindeer. The Samis were very gracious and kind teaching us about their culture, and generous with food and drink.

This was a great and educational experience. Not the most kid friendly as there just wasn't much for our son, and the sledding was canceled due to weather. We still had a great time but not the best for a child 4 or under. Make sure to bundle up!!

It was a great experience overall. We met and fed the sweet reindeers, and went on a sledge ride.
Afterwards, we were hosted in a tent to enjoy food and listen to insightful stories and beautiful songs from Sami culture.
Totally recommended!

We loved our immersion in Sami culture. We had booked the Sami evening with reindeer feeding, meals, a short reindeer sleigh ride and the discovery of the Sami people in the tent. We loved the reindeer of course but especially after the excellent dinner we loved listening to Sara talk about her people and their traditions. We were very moved by his stories. We highly recommend this experience. A big thank you to the entire camp team. Our heart is with you.

A disastrous experience... animals in poor health, and forced to work more than they can handle. My children started to cry. I don't recommend it at all if you don't want to feel like you've contributed to it with your money.
