Our 2-day trip began in Cusco. The evening before, we received a message from the tour company with the details of the day. We were told we'd be picked up at our hotel at 7:30-7:45, but they were there early...more like 7:15. We were still having breakfast, so thankfully, they were willing to wait for us to finish! Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. It was a long day, with a lot of it in the van, but the experience was worth the bumpy roads and lengthy travel! There was a bit of confusion around the train schedule and location for our trip to Machu Picchu. We just felt as though more clarification would have been helpful. We needed to hear more than, "Don't worry about it. It's fine."
When we arrived in Machu Picchu Pueblo we received help from several locals in finding our hotel. A police officer actually walked us there! The hotel, Retama, was lovely, clean, and the staff was so accommodating and kind!
Our tour of Machu Picchu was spectacular! We were fortunate enough to have a sunny day despite it being rainy season! Our tour guide, Joel, was so passionate about the ruins and did a great job explaining the significance of each. He was also happy to take photos of us when we asked!! Our time there was probably our favorite! Even though it wasn't a perfect experience, it certainly was one we will remember for a lifetime! I highly recommend it!

Inca trail is difficult yet so rewarding. Machu Picchu is just beautiful.
Our private tour guide, Anthony, was brilliant. Friendly, educational, and such a good photographer.

My daughter, her medical school friend and I visited Cusco after a medical mission trip in Iquitos. The Machu Picchu tour was excellent and our tour guide Roni was very passionate about the history and it showed when he was telling us all about it. Our tour guide, Niko in Cusco was also extremely knowledgeable and gave us a very thorough tour of that wonderful city. The Sacred Valley tour was also good, but we didn't realize we would be left in Ollantaytambo to wait 3 hours for the train to take us to Machu Picchu. We should have been placed on an earlier train. On the way back, I had scheduled a time to enter Machu Picchu at 10:00 am and we didn't get to the mountain until 11:30 because the tour company was waiting for other people who were part of the tour. Then, the tour company booked us on the 4:00 train back to Ollantaytambo which then made us rush through Machu Picchu. The tour company needs to look a little closer at the times and make sure that there is enough time to get to the train in time. We we disappointed that we were rushed. In addition, there is no direct train back to Cusco so it was another 90 minute ride once we left the train station. Overall, it is a wonderful place to visit, just be sure to look at all of your times and give yourself plenty of it to make sure that you are enjoying the beautiful sights without being rushed.

Really rude customer service. We had to replace our passports, which we told them ahead of time and they were really unpleasant about it and charged us extra. Then they rushed the tour, when we booked it said food was included, they changed that but didn't let us know. The tours were super rushed and we didn't get much time to shop, see the ruins or even have the time to go to the bathroom or buy water bottles. They grouped us with other tourists with different itineraries and the the entire sacred valley tour ended at 4pm, and we had to stay at a train station until 7pm. When we asked why we were grouped like that they blamed us for replacing our passports...BUT they had already charged us extra for that so not sure why they thought it was ok. When we contacted the agency, Carla from the agency very rudely told us everything was our fault and then stopped replying to us all together leaving us stranded. the only upside was the tour groups they hired for Machu Picchu was great! But I'm sure you can directly hire them yourself.

Mashu Pichu is a breathtaking site, the entire treament we received from Llama Path was amazing. Their personalized service and knowledgeable guides were great. Not a hickup. The Vistadome trainride was beatifull relaxing and entertaining, the Sanctuary hotel is excellent, and Joel was great in explaining to us every detail of the ruins. We also climbed Machu Pichu Mountain which I recomend if your joints are well oiled! 2760 rocky steps to an amazing feeling at the top. Trip of a lifetime.

Excellent organized 2 day tour by Willka Travels. Tour starts from Cusco to Sacred Valley, on a mini bus, covering all 3 incas runis. Drop you at the Ollantaytambo Peru Rail station. Guides pick you from Aguas Caleintes(base of Machupicchu), stay in a hotel with a detailed next day plan by the guide. Next day morning bus to MachiPicchu , guide meets you in Machu Picchu and back to Aquas Calientes for a train back to Cusco. Well organized with food and stay.

It was a great tour. All the activities were on time, friendly stuff, private transportation in some ocations. Train to Aguas Calientes which is the town near Manchu Pichu was 360° train, which had a great view and gave us a nice sandwich with a drink. The train gave us the opportunity to go to a balcony to take pictures but we did not go, to tire after Manchu Pichu😌Highly recommended.

Booked through Viator, for Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, but Viator apparently sold our booking to Willka. Not only did we not get to see the sites we booked (Moray, salt mines, textile mill,) but we were taken to a site that required a /S 70.00 per head entrance fee! Tour guides nice and professional, but company rep. was unable to explain why we were on a different tour, and Willka owner/ manager blamed it on Viator. Best advice: avoid!
