We take the road less travelled, get around the crowds and get you onto the mountain tracks that are not passable for other vehicles. All this on large modified trucks with knowledgeable native driver-guides that have years of experience in private luxury tours.

I had the most incredible experience and adventure in Iceland! And that was a direct result from IcelandX! IcelandX took care of every detail. The accommodations were suburb. We experienced great hotels, delicious food, comfortable transportation, and beautiful wonders of the world only available in Iceland. I felt like I was on a high every day. The daily itinerary was packed full of one beautiful and thrilling adventure to the next. I felt like I was experiencing a dream. My only proof are all the pictures I took. I highly recommend going to Iceland and the only with IcelandX!!! I will never be able to top this trip, unless I go again and experience more! I will for sure being doing just that!

We did a private tour with IcelandX and it was an outstanding experience! GB and Ivy gave us an itinerary very tailored to our family, paired us with a guide who was a great fit for us and included hotels and stops that were nothing short of amazing. Our guide, Roggi, not only showed us everything on the itinerary, but made a bunch of additional stops once he knew our interests, showing us sites that were some of the most beautiful we've ever seen. At every turn, he went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful! He really lived his "There are no problems," mantra. We were last minute and asked to cover a lot in 9 days, but IcelandX exceeded our expectations.
We didn't know a lot about Iceland before the trip, but it is a country with phenomenal natural beauty and wonderful people. All the hotels were great tho we might have preferred a different hotel than the Hotel Akureyri (Hotel Skjaldborg) in Akureyri. Other than that, hotels were 1st rate and the food at the place they recommended at night was phenomenal. Particularly, Rub23 in Akureyri and Apotek and Food Cellar in Reykjavik. We'd highly recommend IcelandX and our guide, Roggi. We'd also recommend having them plan a tour for you that would get you out of Reykjavik to see the "wild country" which is where you'll see things you really can't see anywhere else in the world.

My family had the best time in Iceland thanks to Ivy's great planning and GB taking on our adventures with us! A private tour with just is 5 was absolutely perfect. GB and Ivy like it or not are now part of the crazy Markowski family! We WILL be back! We saw and do it all (almost) so we will be back to do more! Thanks so much for the amazing memories!

In the tour company name "IcelandX," the X for us stands for "EXCEPTIONAL." This was truly not a stay-on-the-bus-and-sightsee sort of trip. We had an active and varied itinerary that was well organized. Our small group of 15 travelers did much venturing and exploring off the beaten path. Besides an amazing 2-hour viewing of the Northern Lights, our tour director, "GB," was the best part of this trip! He has extensive knowledge of Iceland, he has many connections with the local folks and he is just an all-around great guy. Our SuperTruck drivers (Ingi, Thor and Mr. B.) were all so friendly and top-notch at traversing the snow covered trails/roads (and on occasion, a swollen river). The hotels were wonderful, clean and well-maintained. We were impressed with every single, tasty traditional meal. This was a wonderful, memorable experience, and we would highly recommend IcelandX to those looking for truly authentic Icelandic experiences!

The first and best part of the trip was the extreme journey we took in custom 4x4 vehicles to a remote site where we crossed river beds to an ancient hut in the middle of nowhere. We were catered to a wonderful meal feasting on lamb in an ancient hut with no electricity but cozy and complete in all ways. Before dinner we went sledding and then witnessed a fantastic northern lights display. During the remainder of our trip we were treated to snowmobile cruising, horseback riding, Icelandic food's, quality lodging and of course the unsurpassed beauty of Iceland's scenic treasures of Waterfalls, Geysers, Lava Caves, Geothermal Hot Springs, etc. Everything we saw was discussed and commented on in a professional expert way, giving life and understanding to all the beauty and uniqueness of the splendor that is Iceland.
