At the beginning of the tour you will have a possibility to shop for fresh vegetables and produce at the buzzing market. Later, the guide will take you to her/his private home and help you to become a pierogi-making machine. You will learn from your local host how to make authentic Polish food and you will try out your Polish language skills while experiencing an authentic Polish family home and meal-time traditions and conversations.

The private pierogi making class with Magdalena was amazing! This immersive experience allowed us to write a few Polish words, use these words to shop in the local market with our guide to purchase our pierogi ingredients, and experience Polish snacks (pickles, sour kraut, meats and cheeses) before learning how to make pierogi. Magdalena was patient with us as we learned the process and told us tips for making sure the pierogi came out correctly. Afterwards, we got to enjoy our pierogi and then a Polish desert. We left happy and full, with a recipe to make pierogi at home ourselves, and with a plethora of information regarding sites to see based on all the wonderful conversation.

What an amazing experience learning to shop for and then to make a true original polish pierogi in Krakow! Our host was Magdalena taught us what ingredients were needed in a neighborhood market, each of us were assigned an item to buy. In her apartment, she showed us the steps in making the filling and preparing the required dough. Each of us took turns making both ingredients so we can make pierogis when we get home. Afterwards, we ate what we made, and it was totally delicious unlike what we get in the states which was usually heavy! What we made was lighter and more flavorful.
Magdalena was personable and patience who made us very comfortable in her home. She also showed us some of her tricks in the making that she learned from her parents/grandparents! A true gift for a memorable event.

We really enjoyed the market and pierogi making experience. Our guide was kind, hospitable, and ensured we had an enjoyable experience. The market was lovely with any type of food you would want to eat and the food we made was delicious! Would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Krakow.

We loved this experience! Magdalena was amazing! We went shopping in the open air market and with her help were able to ask for the items we needed. We went back to her kitchen and cooked the pierogis together and learned so much about the people and culture of Poland. These are by far the best pierogis I have ever had. So tender! We booked a hotel that had a kitchen and ate the leftovers for the next few days. One downside - None of the pierogis we saw around town looked nearly as good as the ones we made. I can't wait to make them again at home! Thank you Magdalena for such a lovely experience!

Kasia did a wonderful job leading us to a local market, guiding us in requesting ingredients for the pierogi, and showing us how they were prepared.
Kasia is an engaging person. She speaks English very well and made us comfortable in her home.

After shopping in farmers market, we traveled by tram from the Old Town to Nova Huta to Dominic’s flat where she shared tales of her life and we made pierogis. This was an excellent experience and really worth it. I highly recommend it - a truly unique experience.

This class was such a fun and engaging way to learn about Polish cuisine! I especially enjoyed starting off with shopping at the market. It was great to see how local and fresh our pierogi ingredients were, as well as to pick up a few Polish snacks to try.
Alicja was a wonderful guide! She was very welcoming, conversational, and helpful. I’d highly recommend taking a class with her!
