Yes, yes, & yes! Was it worth it? Yes! Was it safe? Yes! Did we learn a lot? Yes! No, you should not try this trip on your own! This was amazing and we would have done so many things wrong if we had tried this on our own! We normally plan our own trips and navigate our own way. We are beyond thankful that our friends, who had come before, recommended us to do things through this group! Absolutely made our trip!

The tour guide (Hamdy) is a very professional, passionate and knowledgeable Egyptologist. His sharing of information, description of ancient Egyptian history gave us a clearer understanding of this country and it's beautiful culture.

Super interesting. Our tour guide Hamdy was great. He explained everything in a very interesting way and was able to answer all questions. The tour was very well organized and the best thing is that he makes sure that you don't get ripped off. He knows the hotspots and was super flexible with our requests. We would recommend him without hesitation at any time. Thank you for the unforgettable experiences.

We had a great “all inclusive” experience at Luxor, starting from greeting us at airport, driving to Maklata house, delicious dinner, breakfast, full day tour with Alaadin, lunch, and drop off at the airport. The service was excellent. Everything was well planned and smooth. Meals at Maklata house are the best we tested in Egypt, and a day with Alaadin was full of stories, history, ending with a relaxing stop to watch sun set as per our request. Great experience overall!

It was a great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour and the guide were great, but... the driver didn't show up in the morning, even though it was time. We finally met the driver at the entrance to the hotel. We searched for the car and driver quite a bit, but in the end, we were able to find him. In the end, the tour started 20 minutes late. I asked the guide later, and he said the driver had been waiting for us since before the time. If that was the case, I wish he had looked for us in the hotel lobby. My family was waiting in the hotel lobby, but...

We enjoyed every second of our tour. Everything was organised to the detail. From hot air ballooning to temple visiting and felucca sailing in Nile. Our tour guide Aladdin was the best and really enriched our visits to the temples with his limitless knowledge of the history behind them.

We had Aladdin as our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! He has many year experience and degrees/Masters as well as a strong family history that relates to what we are seeing!
Aladdin knows everyone and everyone knows him! This makes it easy for us whenever we go somewhere new we know we will be taken care of.
The way the tour is structured is perfect- We get little nuggets of knowledge before we enter, then sit down to get the full story of what we are about to see! This was fantastic as we could truly appreciate what we were seeing once we knew what we were looking at!
Aladdin was able to answer ALL of our questions whatever the topic and we a very funny and likable guy to have around for the day!
We did the Luxor day trip with him but he does to other trips and places- Be sure to book in advance and he is very sort-after!
Overall a very knowledgeable experience perfectly explained, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Saber was extraordinarily knowledgeable, kind, and intuitive - he anticipated our needs and ensured we experienced the best Luxor had to offer. He went above and beyond by assisting with other issues we encountered as tourists, ensuring our hotel took the best care of us and other tours were executed perfectly. Spending the day with Alaadin was absolutely the most immersive and educational experience. Alaadin is so knowledgeable and descriptive with his explanations it made it seem as if my wife and I were walking among the pharaohs. It’s one thing to see such great historical monuments, but we were transported back in time. Even when it came time for lunch, it was the best experience. We dined rooftop looking over the fertile Nile valley. And just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, I find myself sailing a felucca on the Nile river. If you would like to experience Luxor from the perspective of someone who is entrenched in the history, please choose to spend your time with Alaadin.

Being a first time solo traveler, I chose Far and Beyond Travel after reading reviews after reviews on Tripadvisor. Those raving reviews were right. I had an amazing time despite not feeling well and had to ask the guide and driver to wait for me for 3 hours. Alaadin was gracious. He even requested the chef to make me some beef and potato soup instead of the normal lunch to help ease my upset stomach. The soup was delicious, by the way (Thank you Malkata House!). Since I was terribly late, Alaadin explained how the day will go and gave me options. I still got to see almost everything in the itinerary albeit an abbreviated version. I voluntarily chose not to see some places because the heat was getting to me. Nothing was pushed on me to have to see or visit. I loved the tour and would definitely come back, in great health, to experience everything including the meal I missed. Alaadin is very knowledgeable and was able to explain things clearly. Not only is he a tour guide but he is also an archaeologist. Another tour guide also told me something about Alaadin's family. But you have to ask Alaadin when you get him as your guide. Thank you so much for your understanding with how I was feeling and patience with my questions and for the lovely tour of Luxor's ancient past. Thank Mohammed, the amazing, patient, careful driver, who also chimed in to answer my questions. ❤️❤️❤️
