1. Temple of Karnak
Your German-speaking guide will accompany you throughout the excursion. When we arrive in Luxor, our first program point is a visit to the Karnak temple complex: it is the largest temple complex in Egypt on the eastern bank of the Nile, about 2.5 kilometers from Luxor. The oldest building remains of the temple still visible today come from the 12 dynasty under Sesostris. The purpose of the temple complex was for the priesthood to conduct daily temple service there. The large hall of columns is one of the most important remains of the temple. You will also visit the Oblisek and Heilge lakes and much more in the Karnak Temple.

Nile trip with the motorboat, to relax and unwind we take a motorboat for about 30 minutes. You will enjoy the landscape. The Nile trip costs an extra 10 euros per person.
3. Colossi of Memnon
Memnon Colossi (Arabic el-Colossat or es-Salmat) are two colossal ancient Egyptian statues from the 14th century BC standing side by side. The quartzite statues are badly damaged, they represent King Amenhotep III. . Pharaoh Amenophis III ruled the ancient Egyptian new kingdom in the first half of the 14th century BC. The statues were erected in 1379 BC.
4. Valley of the Kings
Our tour continues and we visit the Valley of the Kings. It is one of the main destination points for tourists in Egypt. Only a small part of the graves can be visited, in particular the graves of the rulers of the new empire from around 1550 to 1069 BC, 18 to 20 dynasties. In 1922, Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered largely intact. This place exudes its own magic. Let all these impressions and information sink in while we continue our day trip to Luxor and visit the terrace temple of Hatshepsut. Here your guide will show you 3 of the most beautiful tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
5. Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
Terrace temple of Hatshepsut, is the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut and dates from the 18th dynasty and is the best preserved temple on the west bank of the Nile in Thebes. Its idiosyncratic architecture is striking. The entire temple was made of limestone and it took 15 years to build. After this visit, we will start our journey home back to Hurghada and bring you back to your hotel with wonderful impressions and a lot of new knowledge.
6. Luxor Temple

The trip was superbly accompanied by our driver Wagdy, who took us safely everywhere and picked us up again and again, showed us things along the way and gave us lots of information. Our tour guide Maged also gave us lots of information about the sights and answered all our questions.
On the day of arrival, however, we had so much free time in the hotel that, in hindsight, a day trip would have been better for us. In the evening, however, we were able to get to know Luxor on a carriage ride and take home lots of interesting impressions of the people and life there! The balloon ride the next morning unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the weather. But we got the costs back without any problems. In return, we had more time in the Valley of the Kings and for the Hatshepsut Temple. The final lunch in the local restaurant was very tasty and recommended! All in all, a great trip! The support was top-notch as always and a lovely trip overall! Thank you for everything, Sun&Fun team!

It was a very interesting and comfortable trip for us. We booked a limousine for the first time and will choose it again in the future because it is much more comfortable than a minibus. The tour guide spoke perfectly and had a very thorough knowledge of the history and the sights. He was able to answer every question competently. We always had the feeling that he was really into it and not just reciting what he had read. Even individual requests such as a stop in a village along the route and in Qena were fulfilled. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that we would happily recommend.

After our 2-day tour to Cairo, we were delighted that Wagdi was our driver for Luxor too. There is certainly no one else who is as friendly, helpful and courteous, and above all who drives so safely and carefully even in the heaviest traffic. A big compliment to him.
We left very punctually and arrived safely in Luxor after the usual procedure. At the meeting point, we met our tour guide Hassschesch and compared our ideas about the schedule. Day 1 Luxor Temple, boat tour, lunch. Checking in at the Lotus Hotel didn't work and we lost valuable time until checking in at the Ibero. What a shame. Room at the Ibero was great with a view of the Nile, we were totally satisfied. Hassschesch had organized a carriage ride. Extremely interesting. Karnak Temple in the late afternoon with lighting in the evening, simply magnificent. Then dinner and we were extremely satisfied. Day 2 Thebes with Valley of the Kings and Mortuary Temple. We left very early and visited the carefully selected tombs and the mortuary temple before the crowds. The restaurants for the meals were very well chosen.
To our tour guide, who was very friendly and courteous. He gave us comprehensive and understandable information about all the sights, provided a lot of background knowledge and explained important connections. He gave us enough time to look around and take photos and answered all of our questions comprehensively.
Our conclusion: The team of tour guides and drivers in Luxor and Cairo can be recommended without reservation, and so can Sun and FunReisen.

We booked Luxor again, this time for 2 days. Wagdi picked us up at the hotel on time in the morning and drove us safely to Luxor.
In Luxor we met our guide Magdi, a very friendly man who explained a lot to us. We visited Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, went in a carriage in Luxor, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of the Kings and the absolute highlight was a hot air balloon ride.
The two days went by far too quickly, but we'll book with Sun & Fun again. Top organized, top catering, absolutely great drivers and guides ❤️
