Oh my goodness!!! The thoughtfulness with which this tour was planned and carried out was incredible. It wasn’t just the beer and food, but the way in which the conversations and camaraderie were cultivated by our guide. He was so deeply knowledgeable about Chania and its history as well as the Greek craft beer scene which had really evolved in recent years! There was so much food and wonderful beers in top of it all. Maybe my favorite tour of the entire trip to Greece.

Wow. This tour was incredible, the food pairing and variety of tasty beers did not disappoint. The company was also amazing with it being in a small group setting! Mary Claire was a delight and you can tell she was a well respected member of the community in Chania by how all the locals treated her throughout the tour. Would recommend and would do again!

If you’re considering this tour- do it! You won’t regret it! It was a wonderful, fun filled night. We tried so many Greek craft beers, and learned a lot about the city and beer along the way. The beer and food pairing was really cool- something I never thought about before! The hosts were very kind, gracious, and knowledgeable. They made the experience, and opened our eyes to what is possible with beer. This was probably our favorite tour we did on Crete!

This tour was so unique and fun! Bonnie and Clyde are so knowledgeable about their beers and show you so many fun places in Chaina! The food, the history and the beers were all delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!

We had an absolutely amazing time. From the moment we met, we felt like close friends. We had great local beer, amazing food, learned about the different types of beer, and of course laughed a lot. If you like beer this is a must for you. It was like being out with your friend who is a local and takes you to their favorite locations.

Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour is perfect for those that want to learn (more) about the local beer scene and food pairings along with seeing more local places in Chania. Right amount of walking along with places to sit down to enjoy food and beer. Highly recommend this tour and if possible- do it at the start of your visit to Chania so you can revisit places!

what can i say ... the tour was brilliant.. if i could give 6 out of 5 i would...
started with marie clare meeting us at the allotted place and from there it was 4 hours of fun, information, good beers and good food...
although not greek, marie clare eptomises what is cretan life and her enthusiasm for the food and beers is second to none.
even though we have been to chania 4 times, she showed us parts that we hadn't seen and was able to give us a tour of the old town
1st stop was a restaurant that we had passed previously but never ventured in...
food and beer was paired with precision and excellent
more walking and information and then a slight detour to a normal tour ... on the day of the tour it was 1st day of the "alternative crete sites" festival and they had a stall to showcase what they do... bonnie was our guide (aka marie clare) but clyde was waiting with more beers to taste - great beers and he knows his stuff as well...
finally the last port of call was a bar not far from the harbour for our last beer and food...
4 hours flew by and it was such fun

Absolutely incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone, even if they aren't a beer person. It's a perfect blend of beer culture with the actual history of Chania and the region.
