We had the pleasure of getting a food tour with Andrew during a long layover in Seoul. Such a great experience! He was very accommodating to having jet lagged kids and food allergies. We were able to get some history on Korea during our drive also. Besides him being knowledgeable, he was great to be around. I highly recommend!

Amazing!!! My Food Tour with Hans was amazing! Hans was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Hans shared with me some of the history of Seoul, which I truly enjoyed. It was wonderful walking the streets and tasting the food of the many vendors in the neighborhood. I must say I had the best Fried Chicken & Beer EVER!!!

We had a fantastic experience with Oky, our tour guide. She took us to the best places to taste the local food, local flavors, local markets and Korean BBQ. We ended with a very nice walking in the streets of Seoul. She was very well knowledge in the culture, food and palaces around Seoul and made fantastic recommendations. We had a great time with Oki and did enjoy the overall experience.

My son and I booked a 3 hours tour.
Our guide was Oki.
Oki gave us a great 3 hour tour during which we discovered some food options and tried a few things and also a tour of the King's palace.
It was a well informed 3 hours and Oki offered a very pleasant guided tour where she shared a lot of her knowledge of Seoul. Highly recommended.

Ben, our guide for the day was AWESOME! He met us very punctually at our Hotel Lobby, then took us on one of the best food tours we've ever been on. We communicated, before meeting up, our wish list and thoughts as to what we wanted to see, eat, and do. Ben took it from there and gave us an experience to remember and treasure forever. Ben's personality is so upbeat that you immediately feel comfortable asking him anything. Stupid questions and all, he'll provide an honest answer. By the end of our tour, we adopted him as our younger Brother...LOL

We definitely plan to visit South Korea/Seoul again and when we do, I guarantee, we'll be asking for Ben to take us on another tour.

Our guide from City Unscripted, Yujin, met us at the lobby of our hotel and whisked us off to the subterranean maze that is the COEX mall. It took us about 45 minutes to reach our stop, the Gwangjang market. I myself didn't notice the passage of time as we asked our guide questions and when the train went aboveground over the bridge, the view of the river was quite nice on both sides. We took a look around first and then my friend and I had a photo op with Mrs. Yoon of Netflix Street Food fame (wish we could have tried her noodles, but her stall was full, so that was okay). We ate rice rolls (like sushi but with pickled vegetables inside dipped in a honey mustard soy mix) and tteokbokki (sweet and spicy rice cake tubes, chewy and soft and hot). We tasted kat kimchi (made of mustard greens among other things) in its various ages and agreed that the 3 month-aged one was the best. We also had mung bean pancakes, so good doused in a soy sauce/vinegar/pickled onion dressing. She took us to a nice viewing deck of the city, where you could see contrasts of the modern buildings with the old rundown parts that haven't been gentrified yet, including the old electrical market. We got a brown sugar milk tea in the area leading to Ikseondong (Teruwa was the name of the stall, local and costs way less than the chain stores). We then went on to Insa-dong (antique alley) and had our dinner there at a nice restaurant. We were able to buy a few boxes of dragon's beard floss there too! Yujin knows where you can shop and what's the happening places in the city. All in all a great trip, but it does involve a lot of walking, up and down stairs in the subway, etc. You will need comfortable shoes.

Also, I think a food guide should be more assertive as to what foods should not be missed by first time visitors.
