Pablo was fantastic, cenote was the highlight. Full day and well worth it. Both tour guides at Tulum and Akumal were great, highly recommend.

This tour far exceeded my already high expectations and I hope everyone who thinks about doing a similar excursion book here!

We were picked up by Lucio from our hotel in Playa Del Carmen, who drove us 30 minutes south to the NS Vacations office to meet our guide, Pablo, and pay the fees for going into Tulum (city taxes, some animal conservation donations, and a few other things... it was like $30USD extra from the tour fee which they note in to tour description so we weren't surprised by this)

From there, Pablo and Lucio took us another 15 minutes south to the Tulum ruins where we learned about the "Wall City", life as an ancient Mayan, and the preservation of the culture today. We had time after the tour to see the Ocean Views that allured the ancient Mayan Settlers to choose the land they plotted as their village, tour through the jungle walking paths, and get a bit to eat at a nearby taco stand that was excellent!

From the Tulum Ruins, we drove to Cenote Nohoch Nah Chich where Pablo took us through the fully covered cave and proceeded to give a detailed tour of the biology within the cave as we swam through the clearest, most refreshing water I've ever seen. We were offered time after the tour to leisure-swim in the open-air parts of the cenote until Lucio packed us all back into the van to grab lunch near Akumal Beach. After lunch, we were handed off to a wildlife expert at the beach who took us out to the coral reefs where we snorkeled with turtles, fish, and many other sea creatures for almost 90 minutes. It was breathtaking!

All the while through this tour, Pablo was excited, engaging, and accommodating. We ended the day back at our hotel sufficiently water-logged with 8 hours of exhilarating memories packed into our minds.

Regardless of where you choose to stay, this tour group would be an excellent choice for excursions! They pick up anywhere between the Cancun Hotel Zone and the Tulum Hotel Zone.

This was the highlight of our 7-day trip to Cancun!

Advice: I recommend bringing a waterproof camera. We didn't and regretted it. You are advised to leave all your belongings with your driver on the locked bus because there aren't places to put personal items when you go into the cenotes and ocean. So a waterproof camera would allow you to take photos when your phone is out of reach. Also, bring enough pesos to cover the taxes, tips, AND to get yourself something to eat at the Tulum Ruins. Lunch is included in the trip, but you don't get it until about 1:30 pm and the tour starts at 7 am with lots of walking in the heat and swimming activities in between. Getting a drink and a few tacos around 10:30 am after the Tulum tour sounds a little indulgent, but it was a great tide-over until lunch. We went to the place Pablo recommended and got steak tacos and pina coladas sold by the quart. They were delicious!

We did the ruins, cenote and turtles tour with Juan and Frederico and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. Everyone was so hospitable and friendly, explaining everything as we went along each step.

Juan was very informative and helpful when explaining the history and background of each of our stops. He even took photos and videos of us and shared them with us at the end of the tour. We really appreciated their kindness and would definitely book with them again!

So hatten auch unsere Teenager was davon!
