As I have been living in Taormina since over 30 years I will be able to show you also the hidden corners, out of the common paths. . . This lovely spot was resort of many writers, artists, movie stars and personalities in the past and it is still nowadays.
We will take a nice walk through the Corso Umberto, the popular shopping road, and visit the most famous monument of Sicily, the Greek-Roman theatre.

I met Chiara at a church in Taormina and we began our tour witha very good and broad historical perspective which I appreciated .
We went to see the Greek theater and Greek/roman ruins throughout the city and walked through Taormina .
Her friendliness and humor were what I needed it wa sleek touring witha friend .
When she realized I was tired she called me out on it and I said it was jet lag.
She took me to a local cafe that made a delicious pistachio and espresso with sweet pistachio cream . So delicious I had two , and the liquor . It was such a. Ended respite and so delicious and a gem in Taormina. We then continued our tour through Taormina and ended up in the former Jewish quarter of the city .
I would definitely recommend Chita to anyone and would tour with her again in a heart beat !
Ps: she also recommends great places to eat and watch the sunset like Timeos .

Chiara gave us a wonderful private tour of Taormina. She is very knowledgeable and also very kind, finding places for us to sit along the way while we were totally jet lagged. Taormina is a busy place, but this tour felt personal and was a great way to see this beautiful city.

Our tour guide Chiara was absolutely wonderful! She was flexible in allowing us to slightly modify the tour schedule so we could spend more time in our favorite locations. She even took us through the back "alleys" where there were beautiful gardens and remnants of ancient buildings so we could avoid the crowded main thoroughfares. She was extremely knowledgeable about the city of Taormina, it's very long history and culture. She also frequently injected humor into her presentations which made the tour all the more enjoyable.
