Get an inside look at the bloodiest hours of the American Civil War on this tour from Nashville to Franklin, the site of the famous Battle of Franklin in 1864. Learn from your knowledgeable guide about the war’s dark history as you visit the Carter House and Lotz House, which still bear bullet holes and blood stains. You’ll also tour the Carnton and learn about its role during and after the war, when it became the country's largest private Confederate cemetery.

It was amazing to see bullet holes in the buildings and realize that people were inside trying to be safe

Carlton House guide was very good. Tour bus driver was very outgoing and also shared a lot of information. I m a new TN resident and enjoyed learning the history of the area around my new home.

My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the time. The guide was very knowledgeable. The duration was just right. The only negative was the very expensive parking at the meeting site.

Great tour. Very informative. Only thing we didn't like was there wasn't enough time to tour the grounds after the guided house tours. We were rushed on & off the bus by the tour guides, especially at the Carter House.

Listening to the tour guides and driver give us interesting information about the areas we drove thru. The tour information was connected but not repeated. Highly recommend if you like the history of the area you’re visiting.

Just the rich history. Loved seeing how people lived back in the day. I really love that you can still see the damage and get a feel of what it may be was like for the families.

Needed more time to shop and eat. Driver didn't assist much with wheelchair. The rest was nice. Learned a lot about Civil War.
