WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Potamies
Our first stop is the verdant one and one of the representative villages of Crete, Potamies. We will be guided to a traditional farm where we will see the milking of animals and local activities such as cheese making. There we will taste traditional products such as fresh cheese, olive oil & rakomelo!
2. Aposelemis Dam
Next stop is the Aposelemis dam, the largest water supply project in Crete. The village of Sfendili is submerged in the waters of the dam with its impressive old houses fading on the surface of the water. Also a natural wetland with a variety of birds.

Then we will start our ascent using dirt roads, we will pass through the gorge Of “Ebassas”. The view of the imposing mountains and the wild beauty of nature will reward you. At the short stop, the guide will collect various local herbs (oregano, thyme, sage) as the Cretans used to do.
4. Windmills Of Lasithi Plateau
After that, we'll make a stop at the longest windmill line in Crete, located at the entrance of Lasithi Plateau. Here, we'll have a panoramic photo opportunity and learn about the history of windmills in Crete!
5. Cave of Zeus
We proceed to the Lassithi Plateau, where the cave of the god Zeus is located. Whether you choose to visit it or simply relax with a walk or enjoy a coffee in one of the local cafeterias offering a panoramic view of the plateau. (ticket to the cave not included).

Tour the plateau of Lasithi through the gardens, meet the locals and explore the small villages!
7. Ano Kera
Immediately after we will enjoy delicious authentic food, baked in the wood oven in one of the best traditional taverns. Including Food with wine and water. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or special dietary needs
8. Platanus Tree
The last stop will be in the traditional village of Krasi, reaching the village square, one will see the three huge planees and Vryses dominate. Among them stands the largest and perennial plane tree aged over than 2000 years.
9. Mochos
Our journey culminates with a spectacular panoramic view stretching from Sissi to Analipsi. Don't miss the opportunity to capture stunning photos that encapsulate the scenic beauty of this unforgettable experience.

Amazing the best excursion I have ever been me and my family were a day ago and today we loved our guide Giannis he was very kind an helped us take amazing photos and there was also Michael (I don’t know how to spell his name) but they were the most nicest and kindest people I have ever met in Crete and I have been here 5 times already so they were both amazing and I really recommend going on this trip at least one time because this will be unforgettable! Oh and they both danced sirtaki for us and we were in Zeus cave a day ago and today we were Libyan sea

Such an amazing way to see Crete beyond the city and beaches! You get to take a jeep up the cave, sight see along the way, stop at some villages, and have the most amazing lunch you will have. Alex made our experience so much fun! Highly recommend this tour if you are traveling to Crete.

This tour was a very good value. The tour guide picked me up in Iraklio across the street from the Archaeological Museum. We met with the rest of our group and then began the tour. It was a good value and it was fun for all ages. The tour guide Alex spoke excellent English. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and he had very good sense of humor. If you don’t mind doing a bit of walking and if you can handle some stairs I highly recommend this tour. This tour probably would not work for somebody with movement disabilities.
