It was a wonderful experience; eating Sicillian food, learning about olive oil and wine production as well as seeing Mt Etna in the background of the vineyard. The food prepared were original Sicillian recipes that can be accommodated to any dietary restrictions - in our case we picked vegetarian. All courses tasted delectable! Both the red wine and the white wine tasted unique since they were grown on Mt Etna. In fact most ingredients used for everything came from Mt Etna. The scenery alongside was breathtaking and of course our host made us feel at home, adding all to an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Thank you!!!

Our 4 course tasting lunch with local wine pairing was nothing short of excellent. The visit started with a tour of Barbara’s beautiful orchard and vineyard, an easy stroll where she shared her wealth of knowledge of the area and agriculture. The setting for the lunch was stellar - on her back patio overlooking the orchards and vineyards with an impeccably set table. Each course was light, fresh, completely homemade and the ingredients were locally sourced. The wine pairings were also perfect and available for bottle sale if desired. Most of all, Barbara was warm and engaging and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing - a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and learn about this beautiful area.

We did a tasting and lunch two years ago and came back this year for a cooking class, vineyard tour and a beautiful, delicious lunch which we helped prepare. The views are amazing, Barbara is amazing, so warm and inviting, we had a beautiful day at her home.

We had the most incredible lunch at Barbara's vineyard! She gave us a tour of the farm, and then served a lunch where none of the ingredients came from more than a mile away! Most she grew herself, and the recipes were her own. Most important were the love infused in the food! And of course the wines matched the menu perfectly! In the end, Barbara was family! She also has other options, like hiking, glamping, and Etna tours. She was the high point of our trip to Sicily!

The wine tasting experience far exceeded my expectations! Barbara is an excellent host and touring the vineyards increased my awareness of the differences in growing grapes on a mountain in Sicily surrounded in volcanic ash and how grapes are grown in California. The lunch she served was perfectly paired with very fine white and red wines. The food she prepared was incredible! Five courses and I left nothing on any of the platters. This experience was enhanced by the fact that I was the center of Barbara's attention and not part of a large group.

Wonderful private vineyard tour, wine tasting and cooking class on the slopes of Mt. Etna. Barbara is a warm, charming and knowledgeable host. The food was delicious, with a strong focus on local produce. The weather was perfect so we had lunch on the terrace with a magnificent view of the vines, Mt. Etna and the sea. This was the best part of our Italy trip so far. Do not hesitate to reserve.

We learned to cook arancini al ragu and Sicilian canoli with Barbara and her assistant on an outdoor kitchen on the side of Mt. Etna! I mean, it doesn't get much better than that! A foodie's dream-come-true, learning to prepare traditional foods in a dreamy setting--by far better than the movie Eat, Pray, Love. Barbara is extremely friendly, hospitable, fun, and always smiling and laughing. After our first meal, we walked down to the vineyards and happened to be there when they were harvesting grapes where we got a first hand view at how they're hand picked, and then hiked back up for meal two, cheeses, meats, bread, and more local cusine--and of course--more wine. Make sure when you visit to check out the glamping tent designed for bathroom breaks. Everything Barbara does is over-the-top excellent. If you visit Sicily, make sure to visit Barbara!!! An excellent experience!!!

Barbara has an amazing property, right off of a beautiful vineyard with Mt. Etna in the background, incredibly picturesque. The food made was incredible, one of the best meals I have had in my life. Every ingredient incredibly fresh. They were able to cater to vegetarians too! The wine was so good. I didn’t think I liked Italian wine but turns out Mt. Etna changed my mind. The soils of Mt. Etna grow some amazing grapes. Barbara is a sweetheart and we loves talking to her and getting a tour of the local vineyard.

We had such a lovely time at Barbara's vineyard and learned so much about the growing of grapes on Mt. Etna. The 2 wines we tried were wonderful and went so well with our lunch. It was definitely a wonderful experience in food and culture.
