Elafonissi Beach
Elafonissi is located 76km west of Chania in the southwestern most point of Crete. Elafonisi is an oblong, which often "breaks" in two parts by water giving the impression of being a separate island.
Elafonissi is a “Natura 2000” protected area. The island is full of dunes with sand lilies and junipers (like-cedar trees). The endangered turtles Caretta-Caretta and several rare animals nest on the island and it is strictly forbidden to remove any plants, animals from the area. Exotic beach with white sand and turquoise waters, reminding of the Caribbean, are formed on either sides of the peninsula. The sand is pinkish in many places, taking its color from thousands of broken shells.

C on c a very beautiful beach, the pink of the sand you have to look for it. are on top of each other at the popular beach. As for this trip… Tripadvisor does not tell you the exact address of the meeting place. Quite a few email exchanges with the tour operator without them necessarily answering your questions. I think it is better to contact your hotel directly for the organization. What to go through Tripadvisor. Please note if you leave from Rethymnon, it takes 3 hours by bus.

The trip was great, bus arrived on time and pick up location was only 5 min walk from our hotel.
Beach is lovely and worth visiting. We would prefer to have a bit more time instead of having 40min break at the tavern on the way back

I am very disappointed! In your ad there was an option to choose a pick up location. This turned out to be a lie, as was the time of departure. I could not use my voucher. I want my money back!
