My wife and I were on our honeymoon and wanted a unique way to experience the streets of Florence.

Christy was very knowledgeable about the city and she walked us to several cafes and markets that were a little outside of the very touristy areas which we appreciated.

It was such a fun experience walking through the streets, chatting about Italian culture and stopping for delicious food and drinks along the way.

Our stop at San Ambrogio Market was definitely a highlight, and Christy even took us to an additional wine shop towards the end of the tour and introduced us to the owner who ended up helping us ship wine back home.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique, private and delicious tour through Florence! Go on an empty stomach though because you’ll definitely get full with all the food you’ll eat along the way.

This is a great tour for your first day in Florence! Our guide was attentive, energetic, and very insightful as to the sites of Florence that we may miss without the help of a local. She was eager to ensure that we made the most of our time while in Florence, making lots of recommendations for restaurants, sites to visit, and foods/drinks to try while in town (she even wrote them down so we could reference them later). This would have been so helpful to have on the first day of travel, so you could refine your remaining visit based on her helpful input. We were leaving the next morning, so we missed out a bit on this opportunity, but we were able to fit in an extra bar and visit to Piazzale Michelangelo based on her recommendation! She clearly has a passion for the city (and Italy in general), which was contagious.
In terms of the food/wine elements of the tour- I think there is some room to improve. I've taken numerous food tours and they all had FAR more food involved, and more interesting things that we would not otherwise have tried. On this tour, we found some of the food choices a bit boring- gelato, cappuccino, Italian cookies/biscuits (all things that we had already had REPEATEDLY and weren't particularly unique to Florence). A few of the other choices were great- Florence typical appetizer and truffle pork panini. The food element just didn't resonate with us. In terms of this being a "wine tour"- we had only one glass of wine at the end of the tour, which was disappointing. We ended up deciding to go to a wine tasting somewhere else so we could try more Tuscany wines. I will say, though, that the wine bar (and every other shop) she took us to was fantastic!
Overall, we enjoyed this tour, in particular, for the insights our guide offered about life in Florence, which helped us gain a better appreciation for this lovely city. If you do decide to book (which I recommend!), you may just want to manage expectations about the food/wine elements, which are more limited than anticipated.

Tatiana started with an amazing market and took us through and gave us an introduction to typical florentine food. Moving onto walking tour with coffee, desserts, and so much more. The really great part was having a local give you a tour of there city and the bits of history in the tour too.

We had an exceptional experience with Christy. It was a delightful journey through the city's culinary treasures.

We started the day with delicious pastries, sampling some of the finest Italian baked goods. From there, we walked through a local farmers' market with cheese tasting and Tuscan Coccoli. Later, delicious paninis were enjoyed as we listened to the history of Italian Poet Dante adjacent to his historical church. The wine tasting offered us the chance to savor some of Tuscany's best wines and learned about the 3 markings of a good Chianti!

No tour would be complete without indulging in some gelato, and we found some of the creamiest and most flavorful scoops in the heart of Florence. Every bite and sip added to the richness of our experience, making it an unforgettable day.

My husband and I have done several walking food tours in numerous cities, but this one was special!!! The one on one experience with Tatiana was exceptional! She instantly made us feel comfortable, and we enjoyed three full hours getting to know her. We felt like great friends by the time we parted ways! The food choices were exceptional and filling, the sites warm and quaint, and the company was exquisite. My daughter and I spent a delightful afternoon with Christy, and it couldn’t have been better! Not only is Christy passionate about the food culture of her city, she is a fantastic communicator and was so easy to connect with. She was gracious and easy to talk with, and the places she took us were out of this world! My favorite parts were learning about and sampling coccoli in the local market, and the amazing panini at I Fratellini which might have been the best sandwich I’ve ever put in my mouth. Thank you, Christy! We will recommend you to all of our friends!
