I did the private tour with my partner: Salkantay trek to Machupichu for 4 days.
The accompaniment of Juan Carlos (guide) was very good and so was Edwin's food. Although I felt very bad and couldn't do the second day where you have to go to the Salkantay Pass at 5000 meters high, that's why we had to choose another route. It was clear that the company had no other option and we fixed the situation as best we could (so as not to lose the entire tour we had paid for). What we finally did was return from Mollepata to Ollataytambo (with a van that belonged to another company and then a taxi that we had to pay for ourselves).
We stayed the night in Ollataytambo, and from then on we had to cover all expenses (despite having paid them 1,400 dollars for the entire tour). I understand that it was a personal situation, where I could not follow the tour as they sold it, but it was very frustrating not to see a solution already established, and on top of that having spent more money.
We even had to pay the guide for his bus trip to the hydroelectric plant.
I recommend the company and the tour, ONLY, if you are sure that you are going to do it completely.

This was the holiday of a lifetime for me and I did the trek with Alpaca Expeditions.
At 68 I was twice the age of the group I was with and the encouragement I got from the guides Nialton and Isact was incredible.
Between the Porters, Chefs and guides this was a brilliant group, dedicated to the experience of their guests and left no stone unturned in fulfilling that role.

Me and my wife totally recommend Machu Picchu Viajes Peru. They are professional and really care about making your experience the best. we took the 4d3n salkantay trek to Machu Picchu and we loved every moment of it. All the trek staff were the best team someone can ask for. the food they prepared for us and the care and attention they provide to the group was exceptional. this tour company really met all the expectations, very recommend tour company in Cusco.

We did the 4 days Salkantay trek to Macchu Picchu the last week and I would strongly recommend, The trek was the most fulfilling experience I have ever had, trekking out in the mountains, green valleys, snowy peaks, turquoise lakes, humid jungle and through classic Andean villages to reach the unbelievable Macchu Picchu.
If you are thinking of doing a trek and you have a some level of fitness then I would strongly recommend this Salkantay Trek with this great tour company Machu Picchu Viajes Peru.

The tour company and our guide Carlos did an unbelievable job showing us all Peru had to offer. We took Salkantay Trek ending at Machu Picchu and we felt taken care of every step of the way. My friends and I went on an excursion with Machu Picchu Viajes Peru. We had the most amazing experience of our lives. Our guide was professional, fun, efficient, friendly, spoke English fluently and managed our group (10 people) with a lot of quality and experience. Our chef made wonderful meals and was also very helpful and friendly and sang and smiled while working. Our porters are equally hardworking and always had a smile ready for us. Everyone we met from Machu Picchu Viajes Peru was great. If you plan to take a walk in the Cusco area, I recommend 100% to the local agency Machu Picchu Viajes Peru that provide excellent service.

The salkantay trekking to Machu Picchu was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. the trek is just awe-inspiring, especially the guide, cook and horseman.
We booked too late to get the Inca Trail permit, but I'm actually glad we ended up on Salkantay. The entire trip is filled with stunning views and there aren't that many people on the path, so you often feel like you're alone in the world, hiking through ancient scenery.
I hope to go back one day soon, and I'll definitely be using again this tour company.
