It was one of the best in my life especially with inka boy called Cesar,he helped me and my group to get more into touch with the nature, with the culture, with plants and herbs we found on the way, he shared his great knowledge about route history and everything . It must be done.
About the logistics, food and the accomodations, it's superb. Our guide Juan Carlos and the agency provide us the best, with nice places to sleep and have our meals.
The food is very good, with fresh ingreddients. And the most important, healthy food.
Our guide was so nice. A smart and kindful person with so much knowledge about everything.
The accomodations are very, very good. Better than the photos.

Salkantay Trekking far exceeded my expectations! The entire team (guides,chefs, horsemen) are some of the hardest working people on the planet! Our guides Kenneth and Darwin were unbelievable! I learned so much about the flora/fauna, the trek, local customs, the mountains, and the Andean people. They brought excitement and fun every day. They allowed each member of the group to be successful in the trek regardless of their experience on the trail. We even named our group the Cuywins and would use it as a rally cheer to get us through some challenging yet rewarding climbs.
The chefs made delicious and fresh meals that helped fuel us for the upcoming trek. I was beyond pleased with the quality and quantity of the food.
The horseman worker so hard behind the scenes to transport our luggage and necessary materials. He deserves an award for his hard work!
All in all Salkantay Trekking was amazing! Highly recommend.

The trip was truly one for the books! Food was incredible, the guides (Kenneth and Darwin) were friendly and knowledgeable, the itinerary was very organized and the group atmosphere was welcoming. My husband and I are thankful for the experience and the people we met. We had a lovely time integrating into the culture while getting out of our comfort zone. I was a bit nervous about the altitude but the guides ensured we were safe a comfortable throughout. Highly recommend this trip.

This trip was an absolute dream. It’s not easy by any stretch but incredibly rewarding. Our guides, Kenneth and Darwin, set a tone from the first moments of the trip by calling our group “family.” It became true. Eleven of us. A group of four, five and two plus Kenneth and Darwin. Smiles all day from them. Always prepared. I never saw them tired or frustrated, even for a moment. Kenneth has been a guide for years and his knowledge from fauna and flora, history and of Machu Picchu in particular was stunning. Darwin is new and his knowledge was also strong and he seemed to move non stop, smiling all the way. We had so much fun playing music in the car, hiking, playing games together.
Salkantay Trekking is the cream of the crop in this part of the world. Their logistics, planning and overall operation is impressive.
Our meals were excellent and there was always more than enough and the accommodations are excellent.
It’s also a great value.

We had the best time on this trip! The hike speaks for itself, but I can’t say enough good things about our amazing guides, Kenneth and Darwin! I wouldn’t change anything about this trek; down to our group, guides, food, trails, accommodations- everything was great!

Kenneth and Darwin were amazing guides. Very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, the history of Salkantay Pass as well as Machu Picchu. They were also very friendly and made sure everyone was doing well throughout the trek.
I highly recommend using Salkantay Trek.

JP and Luis were some of the best guides i've had on a trip in a long time. I found JP to be the most knowledgeable guide I think i've ever had. His stories about the Incans and the peoples of the Andes were captivating and so rich, and he knew the answer to every question we had. Luis was a delight to have as well and was such a supportive and joyful presence on the trip. Thanks again!

If you're lucky you will travel with guides Fredy Apaza, Marquito, and chef Julio. They took really took care of us. Highlights included scenery, food, lots of Peruvian history and culture, fun places to stay, and top it off with a visit to Machu Picchu. Get in good shape for the hiking.

Our guides Fredy and Marcos handled everything expertly. Fredy was a fountain of knowledge and both looked over our group like family. The accommodations and food were outstanding for a trip like this.
