Alvarado was an amazing tour guide! Alvarado picked us up and dropped us off at the resort! Alvarado gave us refreshments many times during the trip! Alvarado had an amazing knowledge of the places we went and Mayan history! Alvarado was able to answer all of our questions and showed us pictures of what Chitchen Itza looked like during the period of the Mayans as well as pictures of when he went inside of Chitchen Itza years ago before it was closed to the public! Alvarado took us to a cenote that was less crowded, which my partner and I enjoyed! He took amazing pictures and videos of us at the cenote! The restaurant he took us to was an amazing buffet with authentic Mexican food and all we had to pay for was our drinks, which was not bad! He explained about the salt in Las Coloradas! The boat ride in Rio Lagartos was amazing! We saw an alligator, which the boat driver fed a couple fish, and we saw flamingos! Alvarado took amazing photos everywhere we went! I would definitely recommend this tour!

This tour was great. It was private so we didn't have to wait in other people and we were free to ask our guide any questions we had. My only advice is to know this is a LONG day - most of it spent driving. Also, the cenote we went to was super crowded (we went on a Sunday). Not very fun when you can't get in or out of the water and there are screaming children surrounding you. But the food at the lunch buffet was excellent. Our tour guide was amazing. Our boat driver fed a crocodile in front of us which was super cool. But the lake isn't always pink - I think that should be noted. It looked more muddy when we were there. The wild flamingos and wildlife more than made up for it.

We got picked up by Miguel in a private car at our lobby. We showed up 15 minutes before the scheduled time (6:15am) and he was already waiting for us. We then drove off towards Yucatan - Las Coloradas. On the highway we stopped at a small restaurant and ate some breakfast (paid by ourselves, wasn‘t expensive). At Las Coloradas, we have been able to visit the pink Salt Salines and got accomplished by a local. The local took some great pictures and our tour-guide paid the tip! Toilets at Las Coloradas costs 5 Pesos. After that, we drove 5 Minutes to Rio Lagartos. We entered the private speed boat and drove to a spot where we‘ve seen an Alligator. Our boat driver had some fishes to feed the Alligator. We then drove to a sandbank where we‘ve seen Flamingos, Pelicans and walked through a clay field. We then drove to the village of Rio Lagartos, where Miguel was waiting in his car. After a stop at a small grocery store to buy some drinks, we went to the Cenotes. The Cenote is beautiful to see, but it was definitely too crowded for us. We only spent about 5 minutes down there and then went for „lunch“ at 3pm. After Lunch, we visited Chichen Itza. Unfortunately we didn‘t have much time left, so we hurried through the site in only 1.5hrs. Nevertheless, Miguel was able to explain everything to our full satisfaction.

Negative points:
- Cenote was too crowded
- Only one bottle of water was provided, the rest was pid by ourselves
- Drinks for lunch at Cenote is not included

Positive:
- Ability to schedule the tour to our needs
- Miguel is a Mayan and knows the history
- Miguel is a very friendly and honest guide, thank you!
- See a lot of things in a short amount of time (it takes 2-3 days if booked separately)

Overall it is an expensive excursion, but worth the money.

We really enjoyed our visit. Our guide Arturo was excellent and he accommodated our needs throughout the trip. Only complaint was that it was very pricy so for a private tour that started very early I would have expected some kind of breakfast to be included.
