We had a wonderful time on our Ephesus tour. Our experience was exactly as described. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. The van was relatively new and clean.

We made stops at a ceramic and carpet shops. The craftsmanship and quality was amazing. Of course the shops did their best sell. We couldn't resist a piece of pottery.  The Ephesus area is beautiful.

Both my wife and I would recommend this tour.

Touring Ephesus with a knowledgeable guide was extremely satisfying. Having a sample of the Turkish cuisine over lunch was a wonderful way to experience local food. All tours end with a visit to a Turkish carpet showroom. We were please to experience a no pressure to purchase presentation. The only "downside" was to learn from the tour operator that the Ephesus tickets, which were stated as $18/person on Viator website, had risen to $43/person.

We were going to explore Ephesus on our own, but booked this tour at the last minute. Tugba was an excellent tour guide with so much knowledge of the history and culture of the area. The coach ride was fine, nothing special. The tours of Ephesus, and St. John's Basilica were so informative. The House of the Virgin Mary was serene and beautiful. Tugba made the whole experience much richer than had we gone on our own. I highly recommend it.

Tolga did an excellent job on this tour! He met us at the ship dock parking lot with a sign. He is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about many subjects. The tour van was air conditioned and the driver (not Tolga) did a terrific job shuttling us around to the various stops. Tolga sat in back with us to better communicate with his. His English is very good and provided cultural information and descriptions for all that we saw.

This tour took us to the rug shop where they are made. We were able to see how they make Turkish (like Persian) rugs that are beautiful works of art. They showed us the workers making a rug and the process that goes into making them. We then had many rugs rolled out for us to view. Obviously they want you to buy a rug but there was no pressure, just information to help you decide which one if any to purchase for your budget.

Next stop was to the village of SIrince that is up in the hills about 1000' elevation. It is a quaint village unspoiled by modern architecture. The village was charming and a photographer's delight. We hiked around the back alleys and cobblestone streets. It is a perfectly safe village to do this. There are streets in the center of the village that have all kinds of shops, from food to drinks, to clothing to gifts and decorations for homes.

Next stop was added, going to a ceramics shop where they make and sell it. The owner demonstrated how the ceramics are made from clay, fired, hand painted, and finally to finished product. A showroom contained a very large selection of ceramics for sale. They had beautiful ceramics of high quality.

Then we went to Ephusus. As advertised, the entrance fee was not included, which we paid. Tolga walked with us through the ancient village providing descriptions of all that we saw. This is a must see for any Christian or those interested in archeology. It has many well preserved remnants to view and photograph.

Last stop was to a restaurant next to where the rug shop was. They provided us a wonderful lunch that accommodated our vegetarian diet with no problems. They do serve meat for those wanting it but offer alternatives for those wanting vegetarian food.

I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone interested in the above venues. If you can get Tolga, you won't be disappointed. He has years of experience being a tour guide not just in Turkey but in other countries as well. This was money well spent!
