ATTENTION!! Low Isles Reef site has suffered damage from Cyclone Jasper on 13/12/23. The accompanying flooding has caused fresh water bleaching. There are still lots of fish and probably turtles to see.
This tour goes for 2 ¼ hours. It takes 15 minutes to get out there on a fast, fun speed boat with maximum of 14 people, snorkel for 1.5 hrs at our exclusive mooring located at Low Isles reef, one of just a few exclusive permits allowed to enter this WORLD HERITAGE green zone sensitive site. Then a 15 minute trip home.
The reef that we visit on Option A is very protected and has a vast quantity of corals and abundant fish species, with green turtles . On this tour there is no island access, you snorkel from the back of the boat. We own two exclusive permits right on the reef edge that allows just our 2 Reef Sprinter boats to visit this reef meaning there are no crowds at all!
See spectacular corals, turtles, and fish life only 15 minutes from Port Douglas and you won’t get seasick.

This was a really great trip for our family wanting to get out to the reef without a long trip on the boat as we had heard many horror stories from friends who had been on long rough rides with other companies. The short ride on the speedboat was really fun and low Isles was an easy place to snorkel. We were very well looked after and the small group meant that you got personal attention and didn’t have long times waiting around like on other larger boat trips. The guides were fun and knowledgeable, showing us the best places to snorkel, making sure our equipment was working well and they went out of their way to help my daughter find turtles to swim with, which was her dream come true.

It was a windy day and we were a little worried about the trip out but it was actually fun. We also got the bonus of some whale watching. There were plenty of fish on the reef and a turtle. The water wasn’t cold but I’m glad that a wetsuit was provided.

We are return customers and once again, it delivered!
From checkin, to instructions to any reassurance needed to the equipment, it was all superb. Yes the coral was bleached from the recent cyclone (it is rebuilding and coming back to colourful life we were told) the fish on the other hand made up for it in spades. The colours and movement of them including a casual shark or two :-/ made for an unforgettable experience. We are just blessed to have this on our doorstep a few hrs away from home.

Fantastic experience and great staff.

We had a great experience with Reef Sprinter. It was perfect for my 9 & 13 year old first timers.
Staff were friendly, patient and very helpful. We would definitely book again.

Exactly as described on the web site. Perfect 1.5 hours of snorkelling and 30 mins total of travel. We were advised that the coral wasn’t in great condition due to December’s cyclone but the fish were in abundance. So glad we chose this trip to the lower isles of the Barrier Reef.

The ride out and back are fun!
Seeing all of the fish is great and the actual snorkeling is awesome as well. The tour guide team are relaxed, informative and skilled.

This is really worth doing even just for the boat ride in and out.
Even though it was really windy we got to see so much and time flew by too fast.

My daughter and I loved the Reef Sprinter ride almost as much as the snorkelling itself!!
And the snorkelling was amazing!!
It took some time to get into the groove but once we did, we saw all kinds of colourful fish, a stingray (at the bottom) and we swam with a friendly sea turtle…our highlight!!
Highly recommend this experience, especially for beginners.

very easy booking, and communication with the staff of reef sprinter. due to unfortunate weather, i had to be rebooked to the lower isles rather than the outer reef. staff made this change really easy! on the reef, staff were humorous, and knowledgeable, making for a fun, but interesting trip. there we were able to see an assortment of coral, and fish; as well as a shark, and squid
