The Serra dos Orgaos National Park is famous for its spectacular rock formations, and its highest peak is known as Pedra do Sino (Bell's Rock) at a height of (2275m / 7465ft).
To get there, we have to start the hike from the entrance of Teresópolis (around 1:30 hours drive - 100 km / 62 miles from Rio).
The trail is (11 km / 6,9 miles - one way). The ascent does not last more than 4 hours.
There is a plenty of fresh water and waterfalls on the path. The two waterfalls on the way are good stopping options.
From above, the view is simply wonderful and allows us to see the main landmarks of the region, such as the God's Finger and sorrounding mountains, as well as the Guanabara's Bay in Rio de Janeiro and the Atlantic Ocean. After reaching the summit, the guide will lead the group to explore the incredible sights, plants and animals.
* This hike is recommended for people in good physical condition and with an adventure spirit.

I had a great day out on a private trekking tour with Weber. He picked me up in the morning, drove the full distance, stopped for breakfast and to sight see along the way, and lead the trek in a professional and friendly manner. We arrived back to Rio in good time and I slept the whole journey back after a truly intense day of hiking! Highly recommended. Prices are a little cheaper when booked for a group - given the lateness of my booking and the COVID situation, I was happy to pay a little more for a private tour. When I am back in Rio I will count on this provider for another one of their tours.
