Pedra Bonita (Beautiful Stone) is located in the Tijuca National Park, listed by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve (696 meters / 2284 ft).
It is one of the best options for those looking for a good relationship between time and attractiveness.
Most of the climb is by car or van and includes a visit to the paragliding ramp.
The trail takes arround 45 minutes and is considered easy.
As Pedra Bonita is very close to Pedra da Gávea, the view is fantastic and cover most of the city's sights.
Pedra Bonita has one of the 5 best views of Rio. The trail is wide open and has an amazing ridge.

I've actually done numerous tours with these guys, some this month, and even some from several years ago and I have greatly enjoyed each one. I've had other tour operators in the past that don't like to do hotel pick up and drop off and so I value ones, like RioXtreme, that do. Plus, they have a fun and memorable name.
They have a good variety of different activities with amazing scenery and difficulty levels. I have had no complaints in the different tours I've done with them over the years and if I ever find myself in Rio, I'll definitely be booking tours with these guys again!
