Wonderful stops with a lot of history and beautiful architecture!
Organising and logistics could be better among driver, guide and management: the schedule did not correspond with breaks time among employees: tourists were waiting for 35 minutes before driver and the guide were ready to move the bus.

I’ve always been a fan of these tours, gives you flexibility. These buses are not the easiest on handicapped and the blue buses are not great view wise, try to get on a red bus. Our tour director was great, very informative. Some of the stops require some walking such as the Notre Dame cathedral. Also, be sure you check the time for your first stop. I assumed it started at 10 but it was not the first stop and we waited needlessly. Definitely a good choice for your first visit.

We took the hop on hop off tour to get acquainted with the attractions at the beginning of our vacation. It was ok. You have to sit on top to see anything. The Notre Dame drop off is a bit sketchy. Never used the bus again even though we had a two day ticket. We walked instead. Would have only been useful to go back to Mt. Royal.

There are no signs anywhere and it is difficult to find out where the buses are supposed to stop. Often they alter their routes because of traffic jams or construction work and the guests wait in vain at a certain stop. They only sell 2-day tickets which is a questionable business practice. Cruiseship guests usually have only one day in a city. I waited for a bus on a Saturday for about an hour. I therefore went to Square Dorchester on Sunday. The one 10 minutes past the hour was just leaving and did not stop to let me on board. The next one according to schedule never turned up. A full bus arrived and when everyone had gotten off the people waiting were told by the driver that he did not know whether he was leaving next or not. We should go and ask "the lady who sits at the bench"! After we finally worked out who he meant we were told with a can in her hand to get back to this bus, not finding it necessary to get up or look after her clients or wearing some sign that shows that she belongs to the company. We finally left at 45 minutes past the hour instead of 30. We could not do the complete circle as there was some event on the Kondiaronk Lookout. All this was accompanied by the incessant reminder of the guide to show our gratitude because he has to live from it.

Pickup locations not easily found nor advertised. Stops marked.
First tour guide great. 2nd tour guide could not be understood-talked too quickly and garbled.
Entire tour took less than 1.1/2 hrs. Not worth price.
