Highly recommended - and going to Hampton palace without a guide would be less enjoyable

Our guide James was delightful and completely knowledgeable on this subject. His expertise was exactly what we wished for and his explanations of the art, architecture and history of Hampton Court Palace and Henry VIII was clearly presented. He pointed out intricacies in the architecture and history of the tapestries that added a tremendous depth to the overall experience. Bravo, James. Could have spent more hours talking to him about the palace.

James recently guided a couple in their 60s who had never been to Hampton Court Palace. As their trip designer, I organized this experience for them and communicated with James specifically about meeting location and what their interests would be. Very knowledgeable and personable, able to adapt to varying levels of interests and historical knowledge one may already have. We were just a pair in our group. It was well worth it and a far more valuable and informative way of touring the palace than doing it on your own or with the audio tour.

My friend and I booked James for a tour of Hampton Palace in early May. We took the wrong train from London and were rather late, but James could not have been any more understanding. He did not rush or shorten the tour, but made sure that we enjoyed all aspects of Hampton that we came to see. James is a wealth of knowledge and provided us with an enriching and enjoyable tour. We would highly recommend him as a guide to anyone who is interested in learning about the history and/or architecture of Hampton.

James is a deeply knowledgable, passionate guide with an incredible level of knowledge on all aspects of the tour that I could think of, from day to day life, the architecture, residents and historical context and more. James was approachable, friendly, relaxed, and his communication was excellent in breaking down the subject matter.
I was very satisfied with the service provided and would happily recommend James and his services for anyone looking for a guided tour or in depth look at the Palace.
