I was interested in the troubles history and my hotel the Malmaison booked it for me-I was assigned a guy named Ricky.I told him I had no real knowledge other than grown up in 80s England with memories of TV shown bombings and killings etc.
He gave me full history lesson then we done murals and landmarks and got out for pics etc.He hasn’t been doing it long but was superb…he’s a degree in Irish history,he’s a artist who worked and signed a mural on the international wall.Thankfully since the Good Friday Agreement it’s a better place for everyone but his tour definitely gave me an appreciative insight with balance and truths I was unaware of.
A must if you visit Belfast and I hope you land on Ricky as I believe it’s pot luck who your get but I’ve got his number I will share with mates I know who may visit.

The best tour guide in Belfast!! Sean Mc was amazing, so fun and very informative. I would deffs recommend doing a tour with him! It is so worth it, we would come back to Belfast just for this tour with Sean!!! Do not miss!!!

This is the reason I bring all my visitors to Ireland on this tour! While the modern story of Belfast is so positive, which bodes well for the future, the history of The Troubles must be learned and remembered to avoid recurrence.
Ger and the team are the original and the best black taxi tour guides. They lived to tell about the experiences of their own families and communities, so the tour is both historical and personal. They give you the truth of The Troubles, ‘warts and all.’
I have been bringing visitors for 12+ years and all have been blown away by what they’ve seen and learned. And I learn something new every single time. Paddy picked us up at our hotel and started the tour . It was excellent he was extremely knowledgeable . We had a in-depth explanation of Northern Ireland’s history including the potato Famine and the more recent events . We were taken to see the Murals , the Jail, memorial gardens and much much more . Throughly recommend this tour , Paddy was knowledgeable. Unbiased and friendly, it was informative and fascinating . Thank you

Just spent an amazing and informative afternoon with Gerard and Davy from Belfast Attractions. Both were so knowledgeable about the troubles in Ireland and were able to talk to us about personal experiences which totally contextualised the past events. A couple of really friendly and down to earth lads who know their stuff. Thanks lads, I would highly recommend.
