This tour was so amazing. I truly enjoyed myself and felt welcome in the presence of our guide. It was so much fun and it was a great experience. Our guide, Hosan was super informative and interactive during our visit. He even took us to get these really delicious patties and sightseeing around the area. I don’t think the name captures the true feeling of how down to earth this guy is. 10/10 recommend !

I’m a return customer.. I came to Jamaica back in August and Hosan drove us around. He was such an amazing person that I book my excursions with him again while I’m in Jamaica with the carnival cruise. He is such an amazing, down to earth person. I will continue to recommend him to everyone. He will make sure you’re entire party has a good time.

Fantastic experience!! Private shuttle to Dunns Falls and you can stop anywhere along the way for pictures or buying souvenirs if you like. Tour of the Northeast Coast with information along the way making it even better. No need to ride on a large bus and have to stop multiple times along the way, this is much more of the experience you want, private and quick

Two days ago, we took a tour of Montego Bay and environs with Chrissy. We felt comfortable with her driving and enjoyed her open and upbeat conversation. We booked her for today for a trip to Dunn's River Falls. While it took an hour and a half to get there, the car was filled with laughter. After our visit at the falls, we stopped for lunch, which was delicious. She was willing to stop for photo ops and roadside souveniers when we expressed an interest. She knows her way around the area. I felt very safe and comfortable.

Hosan was great!! Very patient. Knows alot about the history of Jamaica. Even made a couple off tour stops for me & my wife to experience real jamaica culture. He got us to the falls quick and safe. Great experience all around. Don’t hesitate to book this tour.

Hosan was a fantastic tour guide! He showed us many landmarks and monuments along the way to Dunn’s River Falls and was so knowledgeable about Jamaican history. He got us to the falls and back quickly and safely. He showed us the markets and we even stopped in Juici Patties for lunch. The best tour guide, yeah mon!

I didn't enter the park, I went to shop and the driver Hosan was very patient and took great care of us and gave us so much history on the sights seen. Thank you Hosan for a great time

Starting with drive there our driver Mr.Carr was very nice. The falls were beautiful and cool the staff was very helpful and made sure we were safe and the people in our group were wonderful. This is a must do excursion.

Down to Earth Tours is just that. Very down to earth but sophisticated at the same time. Everybody deserves to experience this type of world-class hospitality on vacation. So let me break down our encounter with this company. This is a lengthy review, but I want to share all of the details. My sister and I booked a short girls' trip to Jamaica. We were happy we saw the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to have them accompany us on our excursions. Hosain definitely added to the adventures of our day by sharing local knowledge, deep conversations, and his sense of humor with us.
Hosain was punctual picking us up, and he stayed with us the whole day. He played music that we wanted to hear. He made sure we were comfortable and safe the entire time. Hosain was kind, informative (no matter how many questions I asked), and accommodating. We were talking about the local fruit we were seeing during the ride. Hosain stopped and got us some naseberry. We wanted Jamaican patties, so he stopped again. Juici Patties was *chef's kiss.* DELICIOUS.
Transportation
The van - It was clean and comfortable. It had A/C that he adjusted to our comfort level.
The ride/driving - Hosain was a very safe and cautious driver. Jamaican roads are different. I wouldn't drive there on my own. Having private transport that can navigate the roads and take you to the local spots is so worth it.
Our excursions:
Bamboo rafting
The rafts are decorated by locals. Each one is different. They have Bluetooth speakers that you can connect to and play your choice of music. Floating down the river is such a vibe. If you want to be more active on this one, they'll even let you try your hand at steering the raft yourself. The best part was at the end of the river where the ocean and the river met. That was pretty cool to see!
Blue Hole/Secret Falls
Conquer your fears. Go and jump into the pretty blue water. Our guide/life guard was incredible. We felt safe even though we are just okay swimmers. We wore life jackets - just in case - because we had never jumped into falls before. Getting to all of the jumping spots does require a little hiking and walking through flowing water. You're not obligated to do them all, though. I'm proud to say I did. Our guide/life guard also educated us about local plants and traditions along the way, which we appreciated.
ATVs
Want an adrenaline rush? Ask to ride ATVs. Rain or shine, it's going down. It was raining off and on, but that made the ride more fun. We had more puddles to splash in. You ride in a group, but you are really given the freedom to pace yourself. I definitely had some moments where I "put the pedal to the medal." The path we took was longer than I expected. We rode through woods and then along the coast on the beach. The guides were there to make sure we were comfortable and safe the entire time. Most importantly, they made sure that we had fun!
We recommend Down to Earth Tours to anybody who is visiting Jamaica. You COULD go with a larger tour company, but you would miss out on everything that this private, customizable tour could offer you and your loved ones. You'd also lose precious vacation time during the lengthy pickup and drop-off process with larger, shared groups. We chose to support a local small business where the only activities involved are the ones that we chose.
Overall, we really enjoyed everything we did. We wouldn't change anything about our experience with Down To Earth Tours. Please don't do yourself a disservice. Book a tour for your Jamaican vacation, and thank me later. Hahaha!
