After a one hour flight over the foothills and inland farming country you will enjoy a ground tour of Wave Rock. Experience the spiritual stillness of the Outback and the massive Wave Rock in the cool of the morning, before the lunchtime crowds arrive after their long morning bus drive. You’ll also get to see the curious “Hippo’s Yawn” rock. You will have time for morning tea, to purchase souvenirs and if you wish, stroll through the wildlife park, Toy Museum and Lace Museum.

Afterwards, you will fly to Cervantes; a small fishing village where you will take a tour of the Pinnacles Desert. These limestone pillars are scattered over a concentrated area, with nothing quite like it found anywhere else. We will then fly out over the Pinnacles and inaccessible Dead Pinnacles, then along endless beaches back to Perth.

Our pilot Elliott was great. We got terrific aerial views of Wave Rock and Pinnacles and toured them on the ground. We did in one day what would have taken 3 by car. Don't miss the Lobster Shack in Cervantes and the history that goes with that area. Our on the ground tour guides at the Pinnacles, Cass and Michael, were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. As a geologist this was a great way to see two exceptional geological features.

The pilot (Charles) had his elderly aunty on the trip with us. The office staff reminded him to ask us if it was 'ok' for his aunty to join us. Only then did he ask. I was put in a position where I had to say yes. How would you feel having had to pay $1400/pp only to have the pilot have his family member along - for FREE?

Lunch was NOT provided - although it clearly says on Tripadvisor and also on the booking confirmation. There was a cafe at Wave Rock, but since it was only 10.10am, we did not eat - as it was clearly advertised that 'a light lunch will be provided'. No lunch upon arrival at the Pinnacles nor did the ground tour staff suggest that we go to the cafe for lunch.

Prior the day, we were NOT advised of the possibility of air sickness and to come prepared. The pilot was unable to fly at a higher altitude due to no clearance and had to fly low, and this resulted in a terrible 2 HOURS bumpy ride from Wave Rock to the Pinnacle. An experiences company should have the foresight to warn passengers.

While the attractions are spectacular - it was let down by the the unprofessionalism and poor customer service from Kookaburra Air.

We had a super day out, we first flew up the coast to the Pinnacles and had a tour round them with enthusiastic guide Cass. Then onto Wave Rock where we had lunch and a tour of the rock with our pilot Jack. This is a great way to see both the Pinnacles and Wave Rock in one day and avoid long drives. The flight cross country from the Pinnacles to Wave Rock was really spectacular. We also really enjoyed the flypast of Wave Rock. Thank you to our pilot Jack who was really helpful and informative.

Thanks Jack for a very special day. A great way to see two major attractions in one day or how to avoid almost 1000kms of driving! Small planes are not everyone’s cup of tea especially when you are bouncing along at 4000 feet travelling from Wave Rock to Cervantes but it is definitely worth the discomfort. Jack is a great pilot and a nine year flying veteran at just 24 years of age! Surprisingly there is more to see en route including salt lakes and the 45 minute run down the coast back to Perth is spectacular so don’t forget your camera. Special mention also to Kass, our guide to the Pinnacles; so passionate about this very special place and her “little babies” as she refers to the pinnacles newly emerging from the desert sand. Two hours goes by in a moment. Altogether a great day out.

Amazing day, definitely the way to beat the crowds at Wave Rock. We got their early and hardly saw any other visitor. Then flew to the Pinnacles and had a great tour round. Martin the pilot was friendly and knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend this as a way to see Wave Rock and the Pinnicales without having to spend hours on a coach.
