A full day tour but car for 4 people was too small. Liked to have seen more of the old quarter and the history rather than see war remnants.
Food was very nice in an old traditional house/ restaurant.
Expected to see the Hanoi Hilton but not offered.
Highlight of the day was sitting next to the train on train street - exhilarating and frightening in equal measures.
Apart from mausoleum and Ho Chi Minhs house you could do this for free.
Very political

Private tour with a driver and tour guide, Tai. Visited most major sites. One unexpected visit was the cafe along the railroad track where we sip drinks while sitting against the wall and watch a 20 car train pass us by with only inches of space to clear. Tai is knowledgeable about the history and current dynamics in the city, and he is highly energetic

We had a much more than expected trip. The tour guide is so helpful and humorous. He showed us many key features. Our kids were really excited during all the time, especially at Army Museum. Would definitely recommend!!!
