No commentary as expected. Only covered one stop and not a tour of city as intimated on reservation so very poor value. I was given tickets at kiosk to replace those sent on line so maybe was given wrong ones.

There are 2 hop on hop off buses in Alesund. We were told exactly what markings to look for to find our bus, however, they had one bus with no markings at all so we didn't think it was the right one. This cost us a lot of time waiting for the "correct" bus. Also, the other company runs every 20 minutes, this one is every 30. Would not recommend them.

Loved the city tour! Learned so much. We stayed on the entire time, then got off & git on the mountain bus which took us right up to the lookout, where we stayed for a while, then got the next bus down to the cruise port. The employee who helped us at the cruise terminal was from Latvia & she was so nice & informative. We regret not getting her name.

The Hop-on Hop-Off is a good way to see the city, but the efficiency and organization is very confusing. One would think the buses run a loop, but once we completed the whole tour and then wanted to continue to the places we wanted to spend more time, we had to change buses at the port. Plus, we wasted 30 minutes or so before the bus even tool off. And there is another hop-on hop-off bus that is very similar to this one and it was confusing. Needs to be more distinction between the two companies.

A column of salesmen waits in front of the ticket counters with a "10%" discount - logo design exactly like "City sightseeing" without the "City".
No fixed times, no air conditioning, you wait forever, questions are either answered in vain or are answered rudely.
Not all buses on the route go to all destinations! This is not communicated to the bus passengers despite asking(!).
Thanks to this company, we were unable to get to the Aksla, recorded announcements did not match the route (farm in the city center), confusing excuses from the bus driver - suddenly he could talk while driving.
Other passengers waited an hour in front of the aquarium without seeing a bus from this company.
Overpriced rip-off.

The number of stops was limited. The competing bus had a better route. The narration was also limited. I’m sure that there is much more to say, but we kept hearing the same short narrative. Other services also have music during lulls in the narration so that the customer knows that they are still connected.

Informative, cost-effective, and convenient way to leave the cruise port and see the high points (one quite literally) of Alesund. Frequent buses made hop on and hop off convenient.

We went by bus to Fjellstua for lunch and then we had intended to continue our sightseeing by bus. After waiting for the bus for 1.5 hours, we gave up and took a taxi down to the center.
When I contacted the company they responded quite rudely and they didn't answer my questions.

PLEASE USE CITYSiGHTSEEING INSTEAD. THEIR BUSES WERE PASSING OK.

I booked this tour through viator and was asked to redeem it in the counter for a printed copy. Unfortunately the QR code wasn't on the viator ticket for which they couldn't scan. Thankfully the guy in the counter spoke to the guide and allowed me to go onboard the bus.
one of the highlights of this tour is the Aksla viewpoint where you can get an aerial views of Alesund City. The audio commentary is available in many other languages, clear to understand, informative and educative
