This company is unbelievable. Their customer service is beyond fabulous we did for morning dives with them, and then the one extreme shark dive and had an absolute fabulous time the staff and dive masters take safety to the upmost. This was the greatest diving experience I have ever been on. Due to cancellations by others, I had the whole crew supporting my experience. Thank you to Sam, Alma, Jorge, and Marianna. I apologize if I forgot anyone. I was surrounded by true professionals from the very moment I entered their shop to the completion of the dive and back on shore. I had gone diving earlier in the week with another dive group but there is no comparison. This is the dive shop to use. This was my third dive that week and truly the best experience. Buy the photo package, it is well worth it. I will come back to Scuba Libre the next time we are in Playa Del Carmen. Thank you so very much.

What a great company to dive with. I did six days of diving over the Christmas period.
The bull shark extreme was the best dive of the trip. From being driven to Playa del Carmen to catch the boat to the dive itself everything worked well.
Having already done two dives in the morning I had to watch my no deco time which was checked often.
The dive was to around 24 meters to a large flat rock witch we stayed on. The sharks came in and were very close to us. dive time of around 40 minutes and a great time had by all of the divers.

Incredible experience diving with the bull sharks. The pre-dive brief was thorough and allowed for a much more enjoyable time under water without worrying. All the staff was professional and really respected the animals. Travis Xander, the photographer, was a great bonus to have on the dive. The pictures came out amazing and we are looking forward to printing and displaying them to remind us of the surreal opportunity we had to admire these sharks so close. Great energy all around made for an even better trip!

The Good:
-The sharks were AWESOME. Seriously a really cool experience to be that close to them and watch their behavior while being fed
-The photos were AWESOME. Buy the picture package; the photographer is good at her job and her editing skills on on point
The Bad:
-Safety! - I felt totally safe around the sharks, but the SCUBA safety measures and equipment from this shop were SUPER sketchy:
*One person on our dive had an out-of-air emergency at 95 feet because his rental regulator failed, and had to ascend on the Dive Master's Air
*Another person on our dive hit his NDL and had to do a deco stop before surfacing
*Someone else's tank blew 2 o-rings and was spewing air on the boat before getting in the water. The DM appeared to help by switching it out for her, but said "don't worry! This happens all the time!" (it shouldn't)
*The DM told everyone they didn't need their own dive computers and could just follow his dive profile if they didn't bring or rent one.
There were other issues, but those were the ones that were most egregious. I would absolutely do this dive again, but I would only use my own gear and would rely on my own computer/buddy to make sure I was diving safely.
