The Uffizi Gallery is the most famous museum in Florence, Italy and the whole world, given the extensive amount of artwork and masterpieces housed such as THE BIRTH OF VENUS and THE SPRING by Sandro Botticelli. Most of the Renaissance paintings are hanging on the Uffizi's walls! The main part of the collections have been donated by the rich and powerful Medici Family

A very busy place, the guide took us through the Gallery and spent the time to help us understand the artist and the art it was an incredible experience. The private guide was worth the money.

We visited The Uffizi on a Sunday with our private guide Mike, who was knowledgeable and personable. We entered the gallery just as it opened, and consequently we were able to admire the art without the crowds. Because there were just two of us and the guide, we were able to get up close to pieces we had long read about and seen in art books. It was a moving experience. Mike asked us initially if there was an artist or painting that was a “ must see”, and we appreciated him tailoring the morning to our preferences. Highly recommend a private tour.
