Scuba Dogs is a PADI 5-Star Dive Center; the only official operator with all gear, restrooms, showers, lockers and professional staff right there at the Marine Park.

Manolo goes above and beyond! Due to weather, he was very communicative about diving when conditions were safe and best. I only had a small window to squeeze in a dive because there were other plans in our group and I was the only diver- and he was very accommodating!
He spent time really teaching me to feel even more comfortable as a novice diver and also spent time to review the various amazing fish and creatures we’ll be able to see. I’m used to diving in the Pacific so this was very helpful and interesting before we went out into the water so I could look out for certain fish!
The dive itself was excellent. Manolo made sure I knew conditions weren’t great but when we got in, I personally thought conditions were totally fine! I have definitely dove in worse and so I an amazing time and saw some incredible creatures such as an eagle ray, turtle, squid, and tons of really cool fish I don’t usually see.
Manolo became an excellent local source for recommendations for around PR since it was our first time on top of being a wonderful dive master. I will be back and absolutely will be coming back to dive with Scuba Dogs when I do! Highly recommended if you want a fun, enjoyable and memorable time exploring the waters around PR!

Good chil dive! A few people did not show up, so it was just me and the dive master in the group. The reef outside the breakwater is not so exiting but there are till some nice swim-throughs and large fish. Overall a descent experience of diving in San Juan.

We had a great time diving with Manolo! We had scheduled a dive with another operator who had to cancel the night prior because the weather was looking sketchy. When the weather turned and was beautiful, we found Scuba Dogs…and Manolo. He took time with us to understand our capabilities and preferences, and set us up to understand what we would see.
We did two dives, saw rays, turtles, barracuda and more. It was so enjoyable and we are unbelievably grateful!

Very professional and friendly dive shop. Paco was our dive master he helped my wife overcome her first dive anxiety being out of the water for almost 20 years. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He was a great guide finding lots of amazing aquatic life. I highly recommended Scuba Dogs it’s nice to dive with someone who is genuinely passionate about Scuba looking forward to coming back to Puerto Rico and diving with them again

TLDR: small dive shop at a protected water park. Good scuba dive master. Good experience. Would go again.
The story: Three of us were staying at the Caribe Hilton and read about Scuba Dogs which is basically a 5-minute walk from our hotel. There is a protected snorkeling park behind it with small man-made structures, reef balls, and statues scattered around. There was a surprisingly good amount of marine life considering how many people snorkel there. For $80 you can do a 1 tank scuba dive using their equipment with a dive master who takes you out past the barrier to see the area outside.
We arrived at 1045 for our 11 am one tank dive. It looks like this location sees a lot of foot traffic snorklers, but their SCUBA equipment is acceptable, although their BCDs do not have integrated weights so I had to wear a weight belt for the first time while diving. My back started hurting toward the end of the dive. They had to call the dive master in from home – I guess someone dropped the ball on that one – no big deal, we hung around and talked. Samir helped me at the shop and I dove with both Dale and Manolo. Incredible service all around! They were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We were able to see turtles, barracuda, lionfish, even an octopus. Scuba Dogs is safe and reputable, and the people are so kind - I wouldn’t consider diving with any other company in PR!

My daughter and ai had a great time scuba diving in a very easy and safe environment. It was perfect since I had bot dove in close to three years. I walked away more confident and excited for our next Scuba adventure.

My instructor was very knowledgeable and he practiced the basics with me on controlling my buoyancy, very helpful!

Excellent service and the staff were super kind. My dives with Sea Ventures were cancelled and I was very bummed at the possibility of not being able to dive in Puerto Rico, until I came to Scuba Dogs. They made sure that I could get in the water and dive before my wife and I left the island.
