This is a semiprivate tour in a small group with a guide. It combines a visit to the lagoon of Elafonisi in the morning and the old town of Chania towards evening.
We will drive along the northern coast of Crete to the very west of the island. Before we get to the west of the island we look at the most beautiful places and landscapes of the northern coast of Crete. But the main thing is ahead!

Viktoria was our guide for the day and she was very kind and informative. She gave us a good background of each place we visited and provided us with sufficient time in each place. I’d recommend this tour to anyone with minimal time looking to see the island.

We had an amazing day with amazing guide Viktoria! It was a very long day, but filled with some magical moments at the pink beach and in the most beautiful town in Crete - Chania.
Viktoria made this long trip very pleasant. She gave us a lot of information about the island, people, way of living there and of course about the Chania and the Elafonisi beach.
We were never bored and hours we had to spend in air-conditioned van were passing very fast.
We traveled in small group of 6 plus guide. There are not many trips to Chania and Elafonisi who offer pick up from a bit far away hotels, for example in Sissi.
I would recommend this trip to everyone. Don't hesitates about taking such a long journey to the other side of the island. It's worth it! But you have to be aware about the distance. And pink color of the Elafonisi. It sure is pink, but please, be realistic about everything. This is Crete, not Barbieland. 😊
We didn't expect too much, but at the end this trip surley exceeded our expectations.

Our guide Viktoria was so lovely. It felt like she was a friend from the beginning. The trip was a long trip but so worth it when we saw Elafonissi lagoon. It was absolutely beautiful with it's crystal clear waters and pink tinged sand. It was very hot but there was a breeze which made it seem cooler. There is a bit of a walk down to the lagoon which may be difficult for the less mobile. on the way back we visited Chania which was a beautiful with lovely buildings. Viktoria took us on a short walking tour and then we had free time to explore. We also stopped at Rethymon and where lucky enough to see the sun setting which was amazing. Altogether a long but most enjoyable day. Special thanks to Viktoria.

There wasn’t an abundance of pink sand. You really had to look for it. Chania was lovely but the pictures made it look more like Venice than it actually did.

Too much in the van, understandable given the focus of the tour. We should have realized how great the distances were. Did not allow for as much time at each place as we would have liked. We would do Elafonissi and Chania next time. Vlad worked hard to fill in the time with information and history.

The excursion was amazing.!!!The trip was long, but worth every second. Elefonasi is beyond gorgeous! Our guide,Vladimiras, was a wealth of information on Greek history, and mythology. He really went out of his way to have us see Crete, and Greece through his eyes. I felt like I was traveling with a friend.

Our guide and driver, Vlad, was friendly, knowledgable and made the day an experience we will never forget. Elafonissi lagoon is beautiful and we were given as much free time there as we wanted. Stops along the way we’re great. Such scenic beauty. Chania old town was a great end to the day, after a guided tour with Vlad we had some free time to wander. I would highly recommend this trip, and hope that you get Vlad as your guide
