I seriously cannot say enough good things about this excursion!! Our guide Matias was amazing from keeping things fun in the van ride to making us feel safe and secure in the kayaks. He only ever takes out small groups 8 or less. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the kayaking in caves was amazing. The lunch was excellent and you had a few hours of free time to explore the picturesque town or relax on the beach. Was even able to cliff jump. A must do excursion! I will do it again anytime I’m back in Barcelona

Matias was an amazing guide, so friendly, down to earth, helpful, and ensured the safety, wellbeing and happiness of our group. The coves and caves were incredible to explore and absolutely worth it! We saw octopi, eels, squid and fish snorkelling.

Do yourself a favor and book this tour!!! We love supporting small businesses, so if you can, please book directly with KAIROS BARCELONA TOUR.
This was the best experience we had in Spain. Our guide, Matias, was wonderful, communicate well, knowledgeable, and above all, he made us feel like we’re hanging out with a close friend who lives here.
The group was small, our was 7 people. We met in the morning and Matias drove us to Tossa De Mar. We immediately got into the water after safety briefing. It was incredibly beautiful, the water was so clear and blue, exactly like what we were hoping for when we saw the pictures. With Matias’s guidance, we hugged the coast line going north, exploring caves and little coves on our kayaks. We stopped at a little beach, spent 30 minutes swimming, snorkeling and enjoyed the scenery. The trip was not hard but definitely requires some energy. I’m an inexperienced kayaker but I felt very safe, Matias will tell you exactly what you need to do while you’re on the water. After showering, we walked 10min to a restaurant and had fried baby squids, paella and dessert (already included in the tour price, which is crazy!!). And then, just when you thought it could not get better, we had 2 whole hours to self- explore the castle and old town of Tossa De Mar, it was breathtakingly beautiful.
We looked at so many tours and decided to choose this one. We love that the tour allows time to explore Tossa De Mar, that we get to have an actual meal, the tour is very good value and we love our guide! Make sure to have some good breakfasts beforehand. Bring some towels. Matias provided dry bags. Matias also take your pictures during the excursion and send it to you free of charge, we love this, some places will charge extra for this.

Our family of 5 with adult children loved this day out from Barcelona. I booked this tour after chatting directly to Matias through his website. I was immediately impressed with his open, warm style of communication and that he runs his own business catering for small groups - he books the tours and then takes them himself! He picked us up from Barcelona in a small mini van and drove us to Tossa Del Mar. On arrival, we were all kitted out with snorkelling kit and he did a comprehensive briefing on kayaking. He then took us around the coastline, paddling into caves and through narrow gaps between rock islands. It was a huge adventure and it was fantastic to see the cliffs up close. We then spent 30 minutes jumping off the rocks into the clearest of waters, and snorkelled with fish, eels and octopus. Back on land, we sluiced off the salt water in a hot shower and then walked along the picturesque beachside promenade to have lunch at a seaside cafe beneath the Vila Vella (old town). There were lots of choices for our three course lunch including many seafood options, pasta or pizza. We chose the crab paella and a traditional Catalonia cod dish which were delicious, followed by crema Catalania. We then had two hours of free time to explore the castle towers and walls surrounding a medieval village. The town itself was gorgeous and the views of the Mediterranean were lovely - so we just had to stop for a drink overlooking the water at the lighthouse before doing some shopping in the new(er) town. Choose this tour if you want (a) a bit of an adventure (b) stunning scenery (c) delicious food (d) personalised service from beginning to end from a genuinely nice guy.

This was the highlight of my trip!! Matias was literally the best guide ever, he always made sure everyone was taken care of, so helpful and kind. You kayak about 5 miles in total through the crystal clear water and these amazing hidden caves. the views are absolutely breathtaking. you get about an hour and half of swimming and snorkling which we thought was plenty of time. after all that work you get time to freshen up for an amazing dinner!! he also took amazing pictures of us in action and sent them a day after the trip so we had something to look forward to! Overall an incredible experience and i would book again in a heartbeat!!

I booked the night prior and was only slightly concerned about about a 12 hour activity, but this time was actually great to enjoy the scenery without rushing. The views are stunning and Mitas is a great guide and is the reason this tour is so amazing! Do not hesitate to book, you will not regret it. I will be looking for a spot anytime we come back.

Mitas picked up our group at a cafe in Barcelona at 9am. We arrived about 30 mins early and got breakfast. The food was good and filling, perfect to give energy for the days adventures. I'd recommend grabbing food there.

The drive was about an hour both ways in a very comfortable van with air conditioning and wifi. It seats 8 passengers, so know you will have a very small group. We travel often and normally will only book private tours, but because of how last minute we planned our tour, we thought it was good to try a small group. I actually liked the size of our group; it gave an opportunity to talk to 2 other couples and we were taking pictures of each other with the stunning backgrounds of the storybook medieval town that over looks the Mediterranean Sea.

We arrived and had less than a 5 min walk to the beach & scuba center were we could change and leave our items in a locker. Valuables were left in the office. We were provided water shoes and a snorkel mask. I'd suggest bringing sunscreen and applying some here before getting on the water.

Matias gave an overview of kayaking techniques before entering the water. I have kayaked prior but still learned a few new tricks. My boyfriend is not as experienced with kayaking but didn't find this was difficult. Neither of us felt sore after or the next day.

Being on the water has been the highlight of our trip. Each couple was in a double kayak. It was a little wavey, but easy enough to manage. I actually thought it was really fun whenever a wave came our way. It's different than kayaking a river, which is what I have mostly done. Having such a small group made it were Matias could guide through us through smaller channels and into the caves. These were my favorite part! We have been to many countries and this is one of my favorite experiences throughout our travels. It is stunning to see the large stones masses towering over you as you pass through. Matias took multiple pictures of each group. You don't need to bring your own phone or camera, but if you want to there is a dry box that is hooked inside your kayak to keep it safe if you do bring it.

We kayaked up to a cove that was only available by hiking in if you do not come from the water. You see pictures online of stunning places and when you arrive it's completely overrun by people. This is not that! It felt very exclusive and private. Matias tied up the kayaks and this is where we snorkeled. There was a rock you can jump off into the water if you want an adrenaline rush. We saw some larger fish, sea urchins, a crab, and bright red snails. Matias makes the tour feel like you are visiting a friend who lives near and is sharing the best parts of area with you.

When we returned back, we had an opportunity to shower and change at the scuba center. I'd suggest packing a set of dry clothes to change into.

We walked to the restaurant and had a table ready for us facing the beach. I really enjoyed the food.

After eating we had about 2 hours to ourselves to explore however we wanted. We chose to explore the medieval city overlooking the beach, walk the newer part of city, and grab some ice cream.

We met back up at the scuba center around 7pm and got back in the van to be dropped off at the same cafe we were picked up at.

It was an incredible day and something I will cherish!
