For this building, "old" may not mean as old as you might think, being built in 1816, more than 120 years after the Witch Trials. Learn the history of the Derby Privateers and the haunting by its original owner.

Built on the property of George Corwin, the Sherriff of Essex during the Witch Trials, many believe his spirit- dark and accusing still in death- lingers here, looking for another victim to torture into confessing their crimes.
3. Wicked Good Books
Once known for its towers of books, the new management has implemented the use of shelves. However, this only serves to make books flying off the shelves all the more startling. Hear the experiences the owners and customers have had here.

Consisting of three separate historical buildings, the owners of the inn say it's not haunted, but the experiences of staff, guests, and paranormal researchers would suggest the opposite is true.
5. Ropes Mansion and Garden
Built in 1727 and then purchased by an unpopular Loyalist judge is 1768, the most prominent ghost here is perhaps that of his daughter. Hear her story here.
6. Salem Athenaeum
Named in reference to Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, this all-brick building was a refuge to citizens during the fire of 1914. Learn the encounter a historian had 70 years after the fire.

Once a lecture hall where experts could teach the masses, and the site of the first public demonstration of Alexander Graham Bell's new technology. This building was constructed on top of the property of Bridget Bishop, the first person to be executed during the Witch Trials. Perhaps it's her spirit who lingers here.
