You’ll be comfortable in the hands of your experienced and certified tour guide, who will begin your kayak trip with a paddle and safety introduction to ensure your safety and enjoyment throughout the tour!
Choose the length of the trip most suitable to your availability. For this tour, you can either choose a 4-hour or 6-hour adventure. Though you’ll get to take in the area’s natural beauty and explore Sitka’s Blue Lake with either option, with the 6-hour tour, you’ll get some extra paddle time as well as enjoy campfire hotdogs with your small tour group & friendly guide.

We had an amazing time. Blue Lake was absolutely breath-taking. Charlie was super friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking with him as he informed us about our surroundings.

Charlie, the owner and guide, was delightful. He had Jenny helping him this summer and she was so fun to ride with to our kayak site. Charlie has many certifications and makes you feel at ease getting in the water.
Originally we were to go to Blue Lake but the winds were too much so Charlie gave us some options, to the lighthouse and around the port or to the old naval base with WW2 bunkers. He was great in answering questions and going at our pace. He even took some photos of us as he saw the opportunity and sent it to us at the end.
The others on the tour rebooked to go to the lake at a later date, so we had Charlie all to ourselves. It was like catching up with a good friend and having them take you kayaking. He is a small business so you will putting in some work to go kayaking (like helping get the boats in/out of water) and that was quite alright with us, plus he had all the gear to keep us dry and Clif bars!!

I had the most amazing day with Charlie! I have minimal experience on the water and was a little unsure how I would do. Charlie quickly helped me put that uncertainty behind me. He expertly coached us on what to do - he is very knowledgeable of kayaking and safety. Charlie is also very engaging and kept the conversation going throughout the trip with interesting stories and pointing out various features of the area. I was a last minute add-on to a group of other solo kayakers - thanks Luke and Ryan for agreeing to let me join up! What a great trip!

Amazing views at this beautiful remote location with a small group! They communicated with us and made it easy to get back and forth to the ship. Kayaks were easy to steer with rudders, and gear to keep you dry. Friendly, knowledgeable, and he’s even an EMT.

LOOOOOVED this experience. Charlie is amazing and yes I'm biased because he's a fellow Texan but I know a good guide when I see one. He has loads of experience in nature and the field and was knowledgeable about our location, the flora/fauna, etc...
On top of the experience itself his communication was on point and he even opened up his availability for me on a day he didn't plan to operate.

One of the highlights of our trip! We didnt end up going to the lake as the road was closed, but did the coast instead. Charlie is an excellent guide. Very friendly and a nature lover. We saw half a dozen bald eagles and a sea lion swam right up to us. I wish we could have stayed longer to do another excursion.
