During the tour, me and my family saw some of the most beautiful sights we've ever seen, especially so close to home! I was absolutely not expecting the views in Glencoe, which are arguably comparable to locations such as the Chilean Patagonia, which we visited earlier this year, and the steppes of Kazakhstan. In fact, it became a running joke with our tour guide that 'why would you even go so far, when you can just come to Scotland instead!'.
A large portion of the tour consisted of driving around the gorgeous landscape, and stopping to really take them in whenever we came across a particularly nice spot. We also visited a handful of tourist locations, such as Loch Lomond, several castles and a kirk. Somewhere in the middle of the tour, we also had a moment to relax and eat lunch (fish and chips, of course!) in Oban.
In the end, I feel like we visited a solid number of places, but without it being overwhelming or tiring, as longer tours can often be.
One aspect of the tour I'd also like to mention is our guide, Jimmy! He was definitely a major factor for why we enjoyed the experience so much, as throughout the whole trip he was very friendly and our car rides were filled with chatter and laughter. Despite Jimmy's killer Scottish accent, conversation flowed easily about all topics ranging from sports (my dad's favourite) to travel, to whisky (my favourite, haha!). Jimmy's presence and personality was really the icing on the cake of an already amazing tour!

We had an amazing time exploring the highlands and beyond on our private Highlands tour with Ryan!

We enjoyed every minute and Ryan’s enthusiasm and knowledge of Scottish history made the trip even more special. From our first stop to visit the coos (cows) and meet some bulls and babies (Ryan brought along carrots to feed them) which was a treat and fun way to start the day. From sites like Oban, Glencoe, the Inveraray castle, etc. there were many photo opportunities throughout the day with no time limit for our stops we spent as much or little time at each that we liked. Ryan made sure we saw as much as possible in our time together and made the day so memorable and fun.

Our older teen boys said it was their favorite tour of our trip and were very engaged and excited to see it all. I would highly encourage anyone to spend the day with Ryan! Thanks again for an excellent tour and we are grateful for the amazing weather along with the special guest musician at our final stop!

3 couples had a great, full day exploring the Highlands & Lochs with our very personable driver, Jimmy. We covered all the stops over 8+ hours. It was raining & cloudy for much of the tour, so unfortunately we couldn't appreciate the full extent of some of the spectacular scenery, but Jimmy covered it all: lochs, Luss, highlands, Glencoe, Inverary Castle (which was memorable because one of our party is a Campbell!), Rest & Be Thankful, Oban, etc.
If you really want to see and experience the Scottish countryside from Glasgow, you should book this tour.

We were traveling on a cruise with family/friends in a party of six, with four young adults (19-23), our port stop was Greenock. George was an amazing guide to spend the day with. We were picked up at the end of the dock and off we went to explore the beautiful area of the Highlands. George was very good about checking in and letting us choose what were wanted to see next, all the while being mindful of the time that it would take to return to our ship. When you take this tour, do request a stop for fish & chips at The Real Food Cafe. These were THE BEST in all of the British Isles, hands down! And George's wee dram of whisky was darn good, too. A fabulous day was had by all and we can't wait to visit again soon!

Corrine was an amazing host, guide and driver! Not only did she have drinks and wonderful snacks and sweets for us, she even had carrots for us to feed the highland cows along the way. She was knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful, and engaging. Wish all our other tour guides this trip had been half as good as Corrine.

Having a tour guide who grew up in the Highlands was the most fantastic experience. Jimmy, our guide, was kind and friendly and willing to answer any request. I’m a photographer, so being able to match what I see with opportunities to capture a place the way I see it is so important to me. That combined with the personal recommendations we got about locations and meals and other pieces of the tour made this an experience worth its weight in gold. We are so grateful and would recommend this tour company to everyone.

Fiona took us on the journey of a lifetime today. We fed highland cattle, saw castles galore (including ones featured in Downton Abbey and Monty Python), walked across centuries old bridges and in a cemetery dating back to the Vikings. Along the way we viewed several lochs and stunning landscapes found only in Scotland. We lunched in a town that had a hilltop coliseum! And she supplied us with treats along the way. Highly recommend!

My husband & I toured the Highlands area with Jimmy & we had an excellent experience! Jimmy was very knowledgeable & professional & a good safe driver. This tour was a wonderful way to view & appreciate the beautiful scenery that Scotland has to offer. Being native to the area, Jimmy was able to share some early life memories of the area, answering any questions we might have, allowing time to take photos & taking photos of us. We highly recommend the tour & Jimmy. Thank you, Jimmy!!
