Isla Mujeres is not only home to some of the top beaches in the world, but it is also blessed to be one of the destinations with the highest whale shark migrations on the planet. In other places in the world you might have to search for days to spot just one whale shark, whereas in Isla Mujeres you are almost guaranteed to spot multiple whale sharks, ranging from a few to a hundred any given day during season (May-September). These gentle giants migrate near Isla Mujeres once a year where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet, following the plankton that they feed on, and if you’re lucky you’ll also get a chance to swim with the giant manta rays that often appear alongside them.

Do this trip! It’s so unbelievably beautiful and amazing! It’s a bucket list item. The sharks are so friendly and breathtaking. Our captain and guide, Uriel and Husim, were so nice and made our trip too. They made the best ceviche for us that they caught the morning of. Best ceviche I’ve ever had! We snorkeled after at the beautiful reef then went to the north beach to swim and hang out. Malek our photographer was so friendly and seeing him in action capturing the beauty of the ocean was incredible. A must do at the island!

This was an absolutely life changing experience! From swimming with the whale sharks (so cool), to eating guac and ceviche, to my amazing crew, the day was perfect!!! I had Uri as captain and Husim as the guide, and they were wonderful, so kind and made it so fun. And Malek, the professional photographer, was awesome!!!

We loved our fishing and whale watching excursion. Kristen was wonderful to work with and the tour staff were amazing. Love every minute. The whale sharks are so beautiful.

We scheduled a whale shark day for my sisters bachelorette party. There were 10 of us total and every single one of us had the best day ever! The whale sharks are incredible and it’s amazing seeing them up close. We also went to a beach after to swim. The crew was fabulous they were so much fun and went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable day. The owner also helped set up a professional photographer for us and just went above and beyond to make sure all the planning and details went smooth. We are already hoping to be able to come back and experience this day again. I can’t recommend this company or experience enough. Book with them and you won’t be disappointed.

Kristen made this painless. I’m not good w logistics. She worked out a crazy trip. We caught a few wild fish and got to get up close w a whale. The kids are still freaking out! Easily the highlight of our entire trip. If you’re looking book 1 excursions down in Mexico, this is the one! Thanks again for all the help.

Experienced captain and crew got us there early before it was too crowded, and we were able to swim with the whale sharks and fortunate enough to see some manta rays as well. Ceviche was also on point.

My family has done lots of boat tours, snorkeling excursions, etc but the whale shark tour today was hands down one of the top experiences! It was so exciting to find the shark and exhilarating to watch the swimmers rush into the water when it was their turn. So freaking fun!!
Eddie and Vlad are the best! Professional, helpful and don’t talk too much (a total plus in my book)! And, they made the most delicious burritos and fresh guacamole ON THE BOAT!
I had 6 teenage boys and they had an incredible day as well as us 2 very tired parents. Kristen, Eddie, Vlad- thank you for an experience of a lifetime!
